Slay is good but Mathis got his ass torched

I'm hoping it was just an awful game from Mathis. Cuz that kind of play can't happen from a starting corner.

Somebody other than Ziggy has to be able to get in the backfield and force a QB to move or the DBs are playing against a stacked deck. And Inthink that's on both personnel and coaching. Not sure which one carries more of the responsibility just yet.

No, I would like to see them give it to Abdullah on 1st,2nd and 3rd downs and let Joique get a random series here and there when Abdullah gets tired.

But I have no need to see him get more carries than AA or ZZ.

Mini-Millen's entire philosophy was to build in the trenches around Suh and Fairley. Now he is changing course and trying to use bottom feeders like Tapp and some other no name bums I can't even remember. MM's time is almost over.

Yeah, Glover picked one off and took it too the house. Then Slay had a gimme pick in the EZ at the end of the half. Two huge fuck ups from Rivers(the pick6 was off a tip, so not on Rivers) made the first half score much different than it could have been.

Then the second half started.

The defense was very bad. Could not stop Allen or Greene. Woodhead and Gordon didn't dominate via rushing, but they ran less and less as it became obvious we couldn't stop the pass on account of zero pass rush.

My take...why don't they ever drag Calvin across the field? They have bracket coverage on him. Makes no sense. Why not more screens? Pass D was godawful...Allen wide open the whole 2nd half. Bad bad playcalling on both sides. Stafford iced the cake with a terrible INT and some badly missed throws. I didn't think the playcalling helped him though, nor did the badly missed blocking assignments. And why, when the offense is struggling don't they go no huddle?
