Best Album....It would be easier (but not much easier) to say favorite album. Who's Next, Derek and Domino's, The Allman Bros Band Live at the Fillmore East, Lou Reed Rock and Roll Animal (Sweet Jane)
Best Album....
Sticky Fingers - Rolling Stones
All Things Must Pass was a good album but the other two were just average in my opinion. All Things Must Pass by George Harrison, Ram by Paul McCartney & Imagine by John Lennon are definitely in my top 25 albums of the 70's.
No way, Motown was awesome in the first half of the 60's.
Not really.
If you know the history of rock some of the most original material came out of the late 50's. The British Invasion brought back this sound after the influx of teen pop in the early 60's. Many British groups covered the music of these rock pioneers.Motown for what it was was good but not nearly a force like what came after the British invasion...the late 60's saw the explosion of many types of rock music that overshadowed the early 60s.
T-Rex were pioneers of glam or glitter rock in the early 70's. Marc Bolan died in a car accident at an early age.a few that need a mention...
Blow by Blow - Jeff Beck
Born to Run - Bruuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuce
'77 - Talking Heads
Marquee Moon - Televison
Electric Warrior - T-Rex
Innervisions - Stevie Wonder
Rumours - Fleetwood Mac
