Robertson is the opposite: a small, speedy defender. He reportedly ran a 4.45 40-yard dash at his virtual pro day.

At 5-foot-9, 183 pounds, Robertson has inside/outside versatility, but mostly played outside corner for the Raiders.

This feels like Charles Harris all over again. Different players, but same thought process to the signing.
Only a 1 yr deal so low risk though.

I don't see Holmes being ready to commit that kind of money to either player just yet. Holmes has been methodical in his approach and some fans want to see better investments in signing players that fans believe will work in their system.

Culture fit, scheme fit, locker room fit are all areas that fans have no true clue as to whether player x is what Holmes, DC and AG might or might not see as a fit for the aforementioned.

I'm not denigrating your choice of players either.

I already posted the article regarding free agency fits under Holmes' view versus drafting and getting to know those players for 3-5 years as they develop. I think fans miss the obvious that Holmes clearly states in his pressors.
Mack would check all the necessary boxes and would not break the bank by any stretch.

I assumed he meant Sorsdal. Too early to write him off, but I would not count on him for 2024 season.
Yes, messed that up. He has been a flop. PS material at this point.

Meh, 17M -23M depending on who picks up his roster bonus of 5.5M, I believe.

Base salary is 17.55M for 2024.

I wouldn't be opposed to this at all, so long as it doesn't involve a trade. He hasn't been released as of yet.

Most of the rest are still here.

this is not my take. I borrowed it from someone else.

Max Crosby's take on Amik

Amik’s a certified playmaker,” defensive end Maxx Crosby said. “He’s always around the ball. Every time he’s in there, he’s making plays. That’s just what he does. … The dude is all over the place. The more playing time he gets, the more plays he makes. Major respect to Amik. The guy works his ass off. I love that guy. He’s just fun to be around and he’s a ballplayer.”

Crosby is one player, if made available, I would've traded the farm for in an instant.

Jaylon Johnson is the other player but not to the extent of draft capitol that would be needed for Crosby.

Johnson's contract appears to be written so that the Bears can easily get out of it come new league year 2026. At least in currents form.

From Raiders Today:

The Raiders should bring back Robertson and let him and (Jack) Jones battle for the starting position next season. No matter what happens, Robertson is one of the more critical free agents the Raiders should prioritize this offseason. He has proven he can start for the Raiders moving forward, and should he lose a potential position battle with Jones, Robertson would be one of the better reserve corners in the NFL.

For Bill Williamson over at Silver and Black Pride:

Robertson’s market will be interesting to watch next week. The fourth-round pick in 2020 has had his ups and downs, but he has flashed and he is a feisty, engaged player. The Raiders could surely look to keep him in the rotation. Yet, cornerbacks can get overpaid in free agency and it just takes one team that’s intrigued by Robertson’s ball-hawking potential.

From Raiders Wire:

Mostly, he was a character who had a lot of confidence and fit in well with the new energy the Raiders had over their final nine games last season under interim head coach Antonio Pierce. But ultimately, the Raiders were looking to upgrade from him and let him find his worth in free agency.
