I’ve seen Odunze play and I like him a bunch as a prospect. That being said, Harrison is on a level by himself. I think dude is just Fan Boi-ing a player on his favorite college team.
Odunze made catches no other receiver could make. He’s the best college WR today. I don’t know how he makes those catches. It’s incredible.

Living in Spokane, I've watched a lot of Odunze... Seeing Harrison though in a few games and watching his highlights, I can't honestly put Odunze over him... Harrison Jr is a rare breed at that position... Odunze is definitely worthy of being the #2, imo...

He is crazy talented, but the QB position is simply worth much more than a WR. Unless a team already has a solid QB (or QB prospect on the team), then you have to take QB there or trade back. I don't see anyone trading up to get a WR.

I think the Bears should trade back again and accumulate even more draft picks, giving Fields another season, but I don't think they will do that.

You’re entitled to your opinion. No one makes contested catches like Odunze. In fact Washington has three of the top five receivers in the county. Odunze, Polk and McMillan. Harrison Jr is a gray receiver, but if his name was Margin Smith Jr he would not have received the attention he got.

They need to put talent around a Fields. They’ll be fine if they do that.

I think its entirely possible that the Bears wont be able to trade back if there is more than 1 QB prospect that teams like. Washington sitting at 2 might be cool with whoever and if they keep Fields then he'll want Harrison. This is where the Bears commit to who they are moving forward. Not really a trade back and get cute moment imo but it could be if all of the dominoes line up.

That's why they need to trade back in the draft. Plenty of teams need a QB and would give up some nice picks for it. The Bears are sitting in an amazing spot in terms of draft picks. They just have to develop those draft picks.

You obviously haven't watched Harrison Jr then because he's known for the tough, contested catches... he's also one of the best route runners we've seen come out of college in quite some time...

Speaking of your opinion, having 3 of the top 5 receivers in the country kind of hurts Odunze's case as being the best... Mean's he doesn't get the attention a Harrison Jr would get in the passing game because they have to account for the other 2 just as much...

Like you said, you're entitled to your opinion though...

I agree. The Bears need to either trade Fields right away and pick their QB or keep Fields and pick Harrison Jr. to go with Moore in that offense. Than use their own picks to fill the other needs. If they are keeping Fields, they need to get a good OC and QB coach because he needs to get up to NFL speed as a QB. His reads and progressions are way too slow right now.

I don't think you spend a #1 pick on a WR, especially with so many teams dying for a QB right now. Is Harrison worth more than two first round draft picks, and probably another 2nd or 3rd round pick?

If the Bears stick with Fields, they have to trade that #1 pick. It is just too valuable to spend on guy who is likely only touching the ball around 10 times a game. Trade it and pick up 3-4 starters for that one pick.

I’ve watch Harrison play. I’m not dismissing his talent. He’s a great receiver. He should become a very good NFL receiver. I’m saying that much of the hype surrounding him is because of his name. Odunze is the better receiver. That’s all.

Having other top receivers on the same team doesn’t hurt Odunze’s case. He’s double teamed on virtually every play. They try to take him out of the game, but they can’t do it. That leaves the other receivers open.

Bears might have 2 picks early in the draft. I can see them taking him number 1 and giving Fields another weapon. Then drafting OL with the second first round pick.

...or Edge.

They could also go QB at #1, get Odunze or maybe even Nabers with their own pick, and trade Fields for more draft capital.

All that said, the Bears making proper usage of any offensive weapon (including Caleb or Harrison) isn't great odds. How are they going to move forward with coaching with regards to Fields? Do they continue as is and risk Fields failing to develop under the current staff? Do they make changes and make Fields learn yet another offense? That along with the ticking clock on Fields' contract status makes me think they need to go QB at #1 AND overhaul the coaching staff, preferably with someone like Ben Johnson.

We will see how the Bears finished the season. The Bears could very well pick Harrison as their top pick, and then draft a QB in the 2-7 round. The QB class is pretty stacked. We could see 9 QBs drafted within the first 100 picks. If I were the Bears and there are no red flags during the draft process, I would say Harrison is the obvious pick for them.

I don't see this QB class as being that stacked. I like the top 4 (Caleb, Maye, Daniels and Penix would be my 4), then Nix as possible first rounders. Who's left after that? Do McCarthy and Ewers come out? Sanders doesn't look like he will. After that we're talking about career backups at best IMO.

I'm a Lions fan and hope they continue to fail, but I think the Bears should trade back again this year and stick with Fields. If he fails yet again, they likely will once again have two top 10 draft picks in 2025, and an additional 2nd and/or 3rd round pick in this draft or next.

They could quickly flip to a legit contender with a bunch of cheap talent for 4-5 years.

They don’t want to drop too low and risk not getting one of those great WR’s.

You're missing Nabers IMO. I think he's right there with Harrison and ahead of Odunze (but love all 3).

They guy I don't get is Keon Coleman. Guys that can't separate in college aren't going to separate in the pros.

I don't think Fields can support 2 stud WRs and his safety blanket Kmet. Diminishing returns for a #1 overall pick IMO.

They have to make a decision on his 5th year option by March. Do they decline it and risk having to pay $50M per in 2025? Or do they pick it up and lock him in for 2024 and 2025, making any QB they might pick in 2025 sit a year?

IMO, the time to trade him is now, since he's been playing pretty well and bolstering his trade value.
