That's not an NFL game. An NFL football game is not an 8 minute contest. An NFL football game is a 60 minute contest by rule. Look it up if you don't believe it.

In other sports it is precedented, and requires at least half of the game be completed (in baseball for instance) for the results to be official. You know this, stop trolling.

It's seems that people are assuming that only Hamlin's teammates are deeply affected by his medical status. I would guess that the Bengals players are nearly equally freaked out and the emphasis on seeding may not be important to any of them right now (and it may affect players around the league as well). Regardless of their week 17 and 18 outcomes, both teams are in the playoffs and have locked up their divisions if the week 17 game is canceled/tied.

I dont care who is deeply affected......theres too much on the line for them to call that a draw.......Cincy was all ready up 7-3,and was driving on their second drive of the game.......how do you tell them its a draw and if the Bengals and the Bills end up playing each other in the playoffs ,Buffalo gets hfa because Goodell says its a draw.......thats dumb as hell......
They have to suit up to play Sunday,why cant they suit up to finish that game??

They could suit up and play Sunday. However, what becomes of their games vs the Pats and Ravens, already scheduled for Sunday? Both head coaches agreed to suspend the game. I'm guessing they would also both be understanding of a cancelation if deemed necessary.

Buffalo could lose Sunday, Bengals could win Sunday, and then HFA for a potential matchup would fall to the next tiebreaker. Not sure what that is in this case?

As noted in my original post on this topic, to be supported by law (should it become a legal battle over the matter, and it could with the player union, TV contracts, etc), it likely needs to at least introduce the possibility of medical emergency. If it did, things would be much clearer today as to completing the game.
