Because of that, I think the vast majority of them would do the right thing knowing it's not always going to be like this.

I agree 99.9% with that though. Problem is that .01% that doesn’t can screw it up and cause a spread. So we agree totally, except I feel that .01% would cause the season to shut down if it were to get started.

If only this conference would die already.

And where would any team go? Especially in the North. Big Sky Conference? Mountain West Conference?

USC could go independent. Maybe Oregon too. But what about the other 10 teams?

Some teams might be able to go to the Big 12. But only teams in the South make sense. Obviously, the Big 12 would take USC and UCLA to give them 12 teams.

Would they want to take the Arizona schools or take Utah and bring Colorado back to the Big 12?

You may be right. But we'd never know without giving them a chance. I've always found that kids have a way of surprising grownups.

Of course, it's not always a good surprise. lol

You don't think UW would find a P5 conference? Best attendance in the conference, one of the better academic schools in the country, and a decent size media market in regards to the west coast.

I totally think they should be playing. As my opinion was stated earlier, they are the least likely to die from it. Sure there might be after effects but WSU has dealt with deaths of football players from just living life in the past few years. Just my theory on life is if you wake up and fear everything then you aren’t living. Making the drive to Pullman for a game in November is more dangerous than the virus per capita.

But, I am also against this player movement and it is terrible optics to have them player while the players have all their demands and one of them is Covid related.

It's not always about attendance or even how good a school is academically or athletically. Sometimes it's about logistics and the cost of travel.

Also, does Washington really help another conferences brand enough to justify the travel?

What P5 conference makes sense? The other P5 other conferences are to the East and the South. That's a lot of travel, especially for Washington.

I think it would hurt your recruiting too. Say you went to the Big12. Why would, for example, a kid from Texas want to go to Washington just to have to travel back to Texas for games when he could just go to Texas?

You guys get a lot of talent out of California. If USC and UCLA are in the Big 12, why would a Cali recruit want to go to Washington to play in the Big 12 when he could go to USC or UCLA and have a lot less travel to play in the same conference.

For that matter, are Big 12 schools going to want to travel to Washington every year?

The Big 12 took in West Virginia.

AlaskaFag wants to ensure that Ohio State is able to save money by combining their UW beatdowns with plucking away all the talent from the state.

Agree 100%.

Me too. I think the players want, need and deserve a seat at the table and to have their concerns heard (after all, they are the reason CFB exisits). But I think they went about it the wrong way. They demanded too much too fast and shouldn't have threatened to sit out so fast. It made them look like opportunists.

@AlaskaGuy and @michaeljordan_fan

I am not a mod on this cfb board (just NBA). So there's nothing I can do about it and I don't claim to speak for anyone else on this.

But, I'd appreciate if you guys would keep whatever problem you guys have with each other out of this thread.

Thanks

How often do you see me replying to one of his post other than when he's attacking me with vulgar replies. I mean let's call it for what it is .. stalking.

True. But isn't Washington farther away from the core of the conference?
Somewhat.

I know. I'm not looking to pick sides. Just would like to see a cease fire on this thread.

Yeah, that's what I mean. I think if given a choice, the Big 12 would probably prefer to have Washington. But with WVU already there, not sure they'd want to add another long trip.
