All 3 games Giroux has been the man.Time for a couple of other guys to step it up.

Young team they'll have their ups and downs but nice to see them win early in the year. Bryz will hold them together that's why a vet goalie is nice to have back there.

This was an extremely sloppy game defensively for both teams. I felt our guys showed a ton of character and resiliency in fighting back to get the winning goal after seeing a two goal lead disappear in the third. For such a young team up front, that was really impressive to see.

The defense will only get stronger as the season moves on. Pronger isn't quite yet up to speed, but he'll get there, and the pairings will form and hold strong soon enough. There's just too much talent back there for it to go awry if everyone stays healthy.

And you know who got the game winner tonight, baby.

I love the look of this team right now. I could have sworn that one or 2 of those brutal penalties in the 3rd was going to ruin the night, but.....the Pkers really held their own and saved the win. Sweet.

Definitely tried to give it away with all of the penalties, especially in the third. All five of those minors were preventable and I believe at least two or three of them in the offensive zone. The power play for Vancouver is extremely potent but we somehow bested them in that area going 2 for 5. Regardless, you can't kill penalties for 9:14 of the third and expect to win. It says a lot about this team that we were able to get through that.

I wish Couturier had gotten his first with that one off the iron. This kid belongs here without question. It was also nice to see an edge in faceoffs to the Flyers for once, and against a team that wins a lot of them.

No joke. He along with Timonen were out there for over NINE minutes of time shorthanded. And that's not combined. That's per player...lol
