What does everyone think of it? How about suspensions or fines? I may be in the minority, but I don't think he should be suspended. He interfered with him, no doubt. BUt I don't see how you could intend to injure someone by interfering with them. Horrible result, but not malicious.

ummm i expressed my feelings on the main board that i think he deserves 2 games. an athlete of his caliber knows where he is at all times and considering the 2 have history i think chara knew he was going to hit him. i do not think the intent to injure was there but the intent to deliver the hit was....soooo being pretty late i think the league will make an example of this.

I saw it on Youtube, and the coverage was the guy who got hit on the ice and just replays. I don't know if it was late.

The hit was fine, but when you hold the guy and let his face smash into the barrier it should be suspension worthy

Chara is a scumbag. He knew what he was doing. Every player knows there that glass is. He hit him a good 2-3 seconds after he touched the puck. Needs to finally be suspended.

Listening to the hockey show this afternoon. They were convinced he would get 2 for the wrong reasons. I heard an interview with Chara and he did say he pushed him. That being said, I have no problem with no suspension. However, I did not think DB should have been suspened when he hit someone within seconds after shooting and scoring. There really is no rhyme or reason to this leagues discipline record.

What did Chara do wrong on that play to warrant a suspension? If anyone at the Bell Centre had an IQ north of 50, they'd realize having a unprotected corner of glass and metal inches away from the players was a bad idea. If there's a pad, no one anywhere would be bitching about a suspension, which means everyone is looking at the result and not the action, which is just dumb. That was hardly even grounds for a penalty in the game.
