Ironically, I went to both my first LSU and my first FSU game in 1977!

In 1977, I saw LSU beat Rice 77-0 @ Tiger Stadium, and I saw FSU beat Texas Tech in the Tangerine Bowl 40-17. I have also been to two FSU @ LSU games including the 1982 game that determined who would go to the Orange Bowl to play Nebraska.

I'm not a primary fan of either team, but I have a little Tiger and a little Seminole in my soul.

How many games would you approximate that you have been to? Or the exact number if you have it.

I am enviable of the sheer amount of teams that you have seen but I'm curious what the big number is!

I actually keep a tally of all of the info!

I have been to 315 CFB Games overall. I have lived in 10 different states and once had a travelling job, so I have been able to go to games all over the place!

My first game was the 1971 Southern Miss @ Alabama Game and my last game was the Orange Bowl last year between Alabama and Oklahoma.

I have seen 109 current FBS Teams, 9 current FCS teams, 1 D III Team and Wichita State before they dropped football!

I have been to a CFB Game in 74 different stadiums including 55 home stadiums.

I have been to 42 Bowl Games (46 different teams in 18 different Bowls).

I have seen 14 teams play 10 times or more:

Iowa State 52 times (21-30-1).
Alabama 45 times (36-9)
Cincinnati 39 times (26-13)
Northwestern 32 times (15-17)
LSU 25 times (15-9-1)
Iowa 21 times (12-9)
Ohio State 18 times (13-5)
Florida State 14 times (8-6)
California 13 times (6-7)
Florida 13 times (5-7-1)
Oklahoma 12 times (9-3)
Southern California 10 times (6-4)
Michigan State 10 times (4-6)
Kentucky 10 times (8-2)

Louisvillie loves it when I show up (6-0), and Duke wears garlic to keep me away (0-5)!

Anything else?

:)

ACC - Florida St.
AAC- Temple
Big 10- Northwestern (being a homer bad and I can't really say Nebraska with the hype already there). Non-homer pick is Maryland.
Big 12-
C-USA- Charlotte
MAC- Eastern Michigan
MWC- Hawaii
Pac-12: Arizona State
SEC- Tennessee (just can't pick Mizzou until Odom wins a big game and doesn't get tripped up somewhere dumb)
Sun Belt: Arkansas State

I was close to picking ole Herm's crew as well

Do you keep the ticket stubs or something??? How do you keep track of all that?

Jesus, I haven't been to nearly as many games as you and I can't remember them all or who won

I have a ton of ticket stubs, but many are mobile tickets these days. I started keeping track when I was a youngster in a notebook, and I have all of the stats in a word document now. I just update each when I go to a game. Otherwise, I would forget stuff. The other day I was listing games I had been to @ Michigan, and I forgot to add my first game there in 1991 vs. Florida State!

You got to see FSU miss 5 PATs and still score 51.

Crazy day.

I don't remember the specifics, but I assume they went for two for most of those misses. I do remember it being a glorious day, and the atmosphere was electric. fyi: I saw 2 future Heisman Trophy Winners (Desmond Howard and Charlie Ward) that day! Granted, Charlie Ward was the punter, but he threw a pass on a trick play too.

ACC: Florida State - it feels weird calling them a sleeper but Kendal Briles for all the controversy he brings was a great hire to fix the offense,
I agree except for one caveat. Baylor's offensive line was always overlooked because of the skill folks. They had pretty good ones during that offensive run. Briles needs a good O-Line...has FSU fixed that? If so, yeah, they could be a real pain in the ass offensively. If not,.............

The only question I have is does Clemson still get into the playoffs after the 9-3 Cavaliers knock them off in the ACC Championship?
