I think he's going to be even better than Gordon. We basically got the best PF in the draft. I'm really going to be looking forward to seeing him in the purple and gold. Double/double machine baby!!!!

I don't like bigs who can't defend. I hope he develops a jump shot and defense.

Who did you want?

The person left on my list. Vonleh.

So my realistic picks in order are:

Exum No chance he makes it to the Lakers but he is my first choice
Embiid He is just too good to pass up on even with his foot. He might be the next Hakeem.
Smart Floor general and someone to set up everyone. He is the type of player who will draw lots of fouls and get to the rim at ease. He can make his own shot.
Vonleh A double double machine with defense but needs to add weight and a better outside shot.
Randle A forward who is a double double machine, but has foot problem and poor defense.
Gordon Blake Griffin 2.0 with more skill.

Apparently his jump shot is a lot better than a lot of people think

Happy with the pick. I heard that part of the reason the Lakers liked him so much is that they actually pulled a fast one on him and he adjusted well.

Apparently, he thought he was coming in for an individual workout and the Lakers surprised him by bringing in Madsen and couple of other guys and having him workout against them individually and then in 2 on 2. Mitch said he was taken aback a little, but when he figured out what was going on, he got very, very competitive and really had a strong showing.

Mitch also said the Lakers don't really have much concern about his foot.

You realize Vonleh doesn't play defense worth a shit either, right? That was a major weakness coming in.

Actually one of his biggest strengths was defense. Long arms, quick, shot blocking defender is how ESPN describes him.
