Hibbert sucks, besides it's probably better in today's league to go small. Is Ingram really a SF? Kind of hard to believe with a 7'2 wingspan.
They got him as a small forward - more like a Power forward/some center if you ask me

i'm still hoping we can somehow land Biyombo. dude can guard the rim and may just be what we need until someone better comes along...
For agents to sign, they will have to be convinced that the Lakers are headed in the right direction and will be contenders in two years or less. I think if you can get one player who sees the vision and is convinced, getting more to follow would be the easier

I don't think the Lakers will have a choice because there is a strong possibility this 19 year old kid will play in Europe in a draft and stash situation. If that happens, we won't see him for another year. The kid says he is a Lakers fan and wants to play now, and Mitch said they are open to that idea, but are non-commital

I'm giving some serious thought to driving out to Vegas to attend a few games.
Well - you could let me know something and you could meet with me here in Riverside, Ca and we could drive up together and split the cost. I have a good car that is air conditioned even in the high desert and gets 26 mpg. It is a Ford Taurus and very comfortable.

I'll keep that in mind if I decide to go.

You know - I picked up that car two years ago for 2000 and it had 76000 miles on it. It's been as good the brand new cars I ever had. Sun roof that I never use and leather seats that I curse at when I get inside when it's hot - they get so hot, they burn - lol

Zubac fell to the Lakers because he was refusing a draft/stash situation. If he makes the team, he's here this season.

go after Biyombo i'd say. I think he'd make for a pretty good stop-gap...

He's going to be pretty expensive for a stop-gap. The estimates start at about $15M per. Anyone with demand for their services is going to seem ridiculously expensive this summer; it's the new norm under these increased cap limits.

@ChiefLakers67 - Have you seen the second round draft pick Zubac play in the summer league yet? That kid has a lot of heart, hustle and talent. I think he is going to be a keeper - the Lakers now have a young center developing

was watching...

like Russell last year I see him trying to adjust to the speed of the game, but I thinkl he'll eventually get the hang of it. looked like he was dragging a bit tonight and i'm guess that has a lot to do with it...

Three games in four nights - bro - you would be tired too - Oh hell, I bet you're tired after dealing with the wife and kids after one hour - lmao but yeah - Russell is developing okay. He might not be a Magic Johnson per se, but I am really excited about Ingram and Lance Jr and Zubac - damn those guys look good

I really like Ingram's fit for this team and the system I expect to see from Walton. This year seems like the year they'll get out of the absolute bottom of the league and be competitive. I'm not expecting a huge number of wins, but if they can approach 30, that's a nice amount of improvement.
