No GM in the league doesn't have a list of SOME players they drafted that are starting for their teams and pretty darn good players.

Spiller, while a good player, was another bad draft pick. He filled a spot that wasn't broken on a team with a ton of leaks. I have no reason right now to cite Bryce Brown as a positive (esp in larger context). EJ Manuel discredits your entire point by having him on your list.

The first draft he was actually in charge of was awful. Watkins looks good up there in a vacuum, but there's more to that story, as we know. Is Preston Brown going to be the unmitigated highlight of his 2014 draft?

And to say the Bills have done amazing everywhere but QB is kind of like saying they've built a really nice house in Seattle with no roof. Would you move in?

No in this case I will go with nothing.

Get ready to be disappointed. The Bills are in contract talks with McCown, deal could be done by Friday. Apparently the Browns could still be in the mix though.

I'll start saving up for my Super Bowl trip now. McCown v. Manuel in training camp...man, what a battle.

They have to get someone and if that someone is Brian Hoyer, Mark Sanchez, or Jake Locker, they better not pay much for them.

I'm still on the Cutler train. I know Kromer is there now (stupid hire)...gotta be a way.

Only way we get Cutler is if he is cut and with the cap hit I doubt that will happen.

None of the available guys are a long term answer. Might as well sign Matt Moore, who has been decent when called upon, to play the Kyle Orton role should Manuel not improve, then add a developmental guy in the draft. I don't see anyone outside of the top 2 (and even Mariota is questionable) that will be ready to contribute right off the bat.

There's no way, at this point, they are going to have a real QB starting for them. They have to hope the D is nails, the running game is fantastic, and the QB just has to game manage (like Seattle's system)

That certainly seems to be the plan. There was no option in free agency that was going to change that. Even with Cassel and Manuel in place, they could very well still draft a QB this year (it's not like Tuel has proven anything, and more teams will carry 3 QBs if the NFL approves the game day roster increase to 55 as proposed).

Yeah, if they can truly get an old school running game rolling they might be able to slip into the playoffs with a game managing QB that doesn't make many mistakes. As you know...I have my doubts.

Difficult not to have doubts when the Bills are involved

I think I will put it here because Jets getting Marshall to mess up that team even more that could be considered part of my ideal offseason.

Sounds like they might release Harvin as well.

Five years 40 mill for Shady. That's three million a year more than what we might have got Spiller with... for a player exponentially better, this is a GREAT deal.

Sounds like we're going to make a serious push to retain Hughes too.

Per Adam Schefter, $26.5M is guaranteed, $16M this season. So, only $10.5M is guaranteed over the last 4 seasons, making him easy to cut loose once he nears 30.

With the additions of shady, Incognito and Cassel I would like the Bills to resign Searcy then add Orakpo and or Bruce Carter for D.

I would of liked to have taken a shot on Ryan Mallett rather than trade for Cassel but hey oh it's done now. Heard the Bills are going to make a big push for recently transition tagged Miami TE Charles Clay. Would upgrade TE and I like the idea as long as he is not a considerable overpay.

McCoy actually has a $13.125M signing bonus, lowering his cap hit in 2015 by about $5M. Cap space to use for Hughes and others apparently.

I hope they give Gragg a shot at TE. On his limited playing time I have liked what I saw. At this point why not give him a shot he can't be worst than Chandler.

Bills are rumored to be considering a big offer for Clay that Miami may not match. If they bring in Clay, there won't be much opportunity for Gragg and Gray, unless they cut loose Chandler.

I hope they do cut Chandler I was never a fan and personally I would like Cameron over Clay, but I'm not the GM. Also any word on Safety news are we heading into the season with Meeks and Duke Williams fighting it out?
