The Vanishing Point inclusion made me chuckle. I saw that movie as a teen and thought it was fantastic. Saw it a couple years ago and was shocked at what a stupid, awful movie it was.

The worst movie I've ever seen was "Children of Men." I can't imagine why anyone read the script and decided to invest money in that. Saw the latest planet of the apes over the weekend. It was in the neighborhood. Really awful movie.

Let me guess. you were high when you first saw it? You had to be..

I thought Children of God was pretty good actually. For some reason I had actually read the book some years earlier.. (Movie was better)

Live & Let Die. Even for a Bond movie it was an abomination. They tried to make a blacksplotation movie and it was just plain horrible. It's so bad you keep watching it because you think at some point they'll all just start laughing and say "We're just kidding". I will admit a 20 year old Jane Seymour was worth looking at but that couldn't save it. Some of the worst "acting" I've ever seen.

My grandsons were told this movie was great. We watched it together. When it was done we looked at each other and had the same response.

If you want to stab yourself in the eyeballs after watching a movie Lorenzo's Oil is the one to do it.

Manos: The Hands of Fate was THE worst for me. The dialogue was dubbed by two people. The picture was painful to watch, the plot made no sense. I'm so glad MST3K poked fun at it.

And it was the reason one of the most annoying songs of all time came to be as well.

I don't think I ever tried to watch that without the MST3K soundtrack.

I don't think I could.

I've watched both the movie and when MST3K tried to make fun of it. Watching the movie is pretty torturous, believe me.

I think I was actually able to get through Freddy, but it was a chore. I turned off Bruno after MAYBE 15 minutes.

I took my 12 y/o son to see Bruno at the theater. We got up to leave pretty quickly and I removed myself from father of the year consideration for 2010...

Heh, Holy hell.

I guess stuff being TOTALLY subjective is admirably illustrated by this thread.

Blade Runner and Children of Men being mentioned as two of the worst movies EVER?

They're both among the 10 best sci-fi movies EVER MADE.

Different strokes I guess.
Word. I wasn't even huge on either Children of Men (2.5/5 stars) or Blade Runner (3/5 stars). Blade Runner was cool; it sat well with me and if I watched it again I'd probably rate it higher. The "Tears in the Rain" monologue is fucking poetry, even if the first 30 minutes was a bit of a drag. I'm super-stoked for Blade Runner: 2049 (I think Ryan Gosling is a tremendous actor, and bringing back Harrison was a great idea. I'm not huge on Jared Leto, liked him in some roles, so we'll see with him- just hope he doesn't fuck anything up).

I don't remember much of "Children of Men" except for its one tremendous tracking shot. I remember thinking that that shit was epic. It was my favorite tracking shot until I saw the 4th episode of True Detective S1.

To call either the "worse movies one has ever seen" or "has ever been made" points to the subjectivity of enjoyment of films. I'm not calling their opinions bad, but even me, someone who's not as huge on those films as others, realize that they are in the minority.

My dad and I shut it off about 20 minutes in. I hate those movies with camera shots like that. Fuck you Blair Witch!

It's a hard pick. Dumb and Dumber would be close to the top of my list. Meet the Parents could not even be saved by Deniro. Ben Stiller movies are just shit, period.

But, maybe the worst movie I ever saw was Wolf Creek.

It was boring, pointless, flat, didn't give a shit about any of the characters in it.

Just an awful attempt at cheap jump scare tactics that elicited nothing but yawns of indifference.

If he`s not,I sure am.......Anything jim carrey and ben Stiller in it is not worth watching.......:painkiller:......Althought I liked "The Number 13" with Jim Carrey........

Top two have to consist of the Blair witch project and the thin red line.
