Danny O'Regan has been invited to the USA National Junior Evaluation Camp.

The Sharks will also be participating in Vancouver's prospect tourney this year.

Reports out of the US National Evaluation Camp have both O'Regan and Brodzinski performing well. Brodzinski still considered a long shot to make the team though.

Brodzinski and O'Regan made first cuts at the national camp. Ausmus sent home.

Pulled this from another board. This is from Chris Peters who's one of the best at following USA hockey.

Michael Brodzinski — D — I think it’s the same story with Brodzinski, too. He’s got so much skill and really handles the puck well. I’d like to see him make a few better decisions with the puck, but once he gets to that point, he could be a high-end offensive defenseman. I don’t know that he can do it in time to make this team, but he showed some really good glimpses of it today.

This is exciting stuff. We will be in desperate need of an offensive-defenceman once Boyler retires. On a separate note, I'm pumped by all the things I am hearing regarding Thomas Hertl. :yahoo:

.....so I guess our future isn't all doom & gloom, like most people say it will be? Lets hope they all continue to grow and improve.

Half of the battle is grooming these guys into legit NHL players. The other half is hoping D Wil doesn't trade these guys for Dominic Moore's or Curtis Brown's in February/March.
