But, LeBron would be worth a lot more on the open market if there was no max.

While it is true that a super max player limits what the team can add around him, there is nobody more worthy of it than LeBron.

Absolutely true, but it's a double-edged sword.

Agreed.

Frankly they should be trying to attach Bryant and their 1st to get someone like ATL to take Deng.

But why would Atlanta take it? That Deng contract is so bad you'd have to include someone like Kuzma or Ingram to get rid of it. Two late first rounders aren't exactly enticing.

Wow....looks like Q was right.

But, it's gonna cost ya.....

The Atlanta Hawks are open to using their cap space to absorb a bad contract in return for either young asset(s) or first-round draft picks. The worse the contract, the higher the compensation Atlanta would seek.

Anything you need there are always teams out there. Whether it is bad contracts or whatever. Throw in a future 1st round pick or late pick and they would gladly take on those contracts.

I learned from 2K lol

Even Noah?

Gotta think Noah, Deng have the worst two contracts in the NBA and then Parsons, Gallo are right behind them.

If Memphis is offering the #4 pick to anyone who takes Parsons, what's the price for Noah or Deng?!?!?

Honestly, I'd probably rather have Deng depending on the years left on he and Chandler's deals.

They can have the Lakers 1st round pick and Thomas Bryant and/or Zubac to go with the Deng contract

But to be honest, I don't think it's worth giving up either Ingram, Ball or Kuz to get rid of the Deng contract.

As a fan i'd much rather they stretched him than lose a young guy.

Yeah, unless it's a trade for an established star.

I wouldn't want to lose any of them just to unload Deng.

I think the furthest i'd be willing to go (but then again i'm not Magic or Rob) is Josh Hart, a 1st and Bryant/Zubac

And even that might be pushing it.

To get rid of Deng? Not sure I'd even want to lose Hart to do that.

Yeah i'm really on the fence with that one.

Stretching him is the only real option I think. Unless Atlanta really are gullible enough to take a 1st and Bryant. You gotta hope Rob and Magic would at least try that route, lol

Yeah, that's why if the Lakers are able to trade the Deng contract, it will be because they are trading for an established star player.

If that happens, then they are likely losing some combination of 2 out of the 3 of Ingram, Kuzma and Lonzo.

Yeah, that's a completely different scenario.

To get 3 max guys you consider it.

To get 2 max guys and keep Randle?

Um, no.

I mean it depends. Noah is about to the level of Deng but the Parsons contract would be a 1/4 of a teams salary. That might be the most untradeable contract of all-time lol

Dude has been thieving since Dallas.

The fact that he has the nerve to troll on the net just adds another layer to the fuckery.

So,

What you are saying is that you wouldn't give up Josh Hart in order to sign 2 max players and resign Randle?

You can always draft another Josh Hart.

I don't think you'd be able to resign Randle and 2 max players in that situation.

If it was possible though I don't think a single Lakers fan wouldn't go for it.

I must have missed the re-sign Randle part. Yeah, I'd part with Josh Hart for that.
