What Do we Need?

We are now about 1/2 way and the trade deadline is 3 pm February 28, 2011. So what do we need? I hate the last day trades as I think it effects team chemistry. How many people were ready to give the farm for Kovy last year? How has that one worked out?

So what do we need? The defense looks a little suspect, but Pronger will be back and well rested for the 2nd 1/2 run. Our forwards seem to be pretty solid. I have no problem with the B & B goalie duo. I guess the next few weeks will shed some light, but I just don't see anything at this point unless the injury bug hits.

I'm not knocking Nodl or Powe because they're playing their roles well but Langenbrunner would have looked real nice in one of their spots. I just hope these guys don't cool off during the playoffs it would be nice to have a surer thing unless of course Z can get out of Lavy's doghouse and keep pumping them in....

Langenbrunner would have been great in Powe's spot. BUt they are a deep team, so hopefully one or two guys cooling off doesnt kill them. And I am pretty sure I would hold out for new condoms for SHelley...

To add more of a scoring threat and more potential line options......I'd like to see one or two of the kids from the Phantoms come up and play on the 4th with Betts & maybe Powe and I'd also like to have a goalie in-between the pipes who we can have 100% confidence in to stop 95% of the weak goals from going in.

If Lavy keeps playing one goalie until he's so tired out he gets injured then the Flyers will have a problem...otherwise I'm cool with the B and B tandem.
