I'd like to see more than the 10-15minutes of cincy that i've seen so far this year, but their offense is good enough to concern me.

VT should win handily. Only thing that concerns me is Cincy is comin off a bye.

Cincy looks like a good team. Not a great team, but a good one. And since VT has the propensity to let poor and mediocre teams hang around too long in the game, this one makes me nervous. I can honestly see us losing this one if we come out flat in the first quarter again. I guess we will just have to see which team shows up: the 2nd half VT or the one that has stolen our uniforms and played the first half miserably.

hoping LT's thumb is good enough to get a good grip on the ball by Saturday.

Cincinnati played a lot better in their first game against Pitt than their second one (which wasn't on TV). Their QB isn't a good passer and misses a lot of simple throws. He had 2 fumbles and 2 INTs against Delaware State. I know our secondary isn't a typical VT caliber secondary this year, but it will most definitely be better than what he has seen so far. If we can stop their run and make them pass, I like our chances going away.

Seeing as our coaches don't seem to have figured out what they want to do, I'm not sure Cincy would know what to prep for during that extra week. ;)

Pretty sure the line is 6.5 to 7 (Hokies the favorite). Guess Vegas thought that the Pitt game was a fluke too. I think they build on the BGSU improvements, continue to improve, and win a fairly close one.

I like the fact the next four teams run some semblance of a spread and that Clemson is the last of those four. I think that it will help our defense develop tendencies that will help them in the Clemson game.

VT - 24
Cincy - 14

I feel bad for JGW, he hasn't been spectacular, but he has still been one of the better players on our defense. But Ronnie is the whip of the future, if he is as good, its hard to not go with the future.

Meh Doin't know about that, but he has done well enough. He had a very good game @GT and is technically and instinctively a pretty good defense player. I am afraid when we play very, very athletic teams his lack of speed and lack of all out athleticism would be exposed though. No worries..he will still get plenty of situational reps and still get plenty of PT this year IMO.

I don't. It's not like he got his scholly pulled and was kicked off the team. RVD is just better. JGW can still contribute in other ways. We shouldn't cater to those who have been on the team longer, etc etc. The best players should play.
