If this is their run defense I am not looking forward to the games against the Browns and Ravens.

They should go into tank mode……too soon?

This is what happens when Tomlin has a full two weeks to fuck up a good thing.

Man… Pickett looked BAD.
Pickett was running scared most of the game. That o-line got destroyed and it seemed when he had time to throw he was expecting pressure so his timing was off.

And they had two weeks to prepare for the Niners and it truly seemed like they had no clue what hit them.

Jesus tap-dancing christ that was a mess of a game.

Coaching needs to take the brunt of the blame here, but there's plenty of blame to go towards the execution side of things. Pickett & the OL were flat out awful. The DL was flat out abused. This isn't the first time we have seen this team look completely ill-prepared to start a season. We've questioned Tomlin's approach to preparing this team MANY times during his tenure.

Matt Canada is still. Matt Canada. Laboring for every blade of grass & possession down issues. Glad we stayed pessimistic about this guy.

I still have plenty of faith in Kenny. And silver lining here is that this wasn't a conference loss so they can take this kick in the teeth and forget about it IF they can rebound. If not, then this is just a sign of things to come.

And George Pickens.... Grow the fuck up or get the fuck out.

Cam with a groin, Diontae with a hammy, Muth with a chest injury, and Chuks in concussion protocol.

Starting CB's embarrassed.

Seems like we're gonna see a lot of new blood playing week 2.

Any clue why the DBs looked like they were on ice skates all game long? Swear every time I saw the 9ers make a catch there was a Steelers DB falling down.

George can be a superstar. But his maturity is an issue. He takes plays off, and he absolutely was giving 20% effort on that free-play bomb. If he actually tried on that play it's an easy big gain. He also needs to be focused and fed in this offense.

Part of it was the field, it was torn up and slippy as fuck. Maybe they had shit cleats on. The 9ers didn't have the same kind of issues. Pat Pete was abused for sure. He had too good of a career and too good of a season last year for me to call for his head. Levi on the other hand.... Let the Porter experiment being, please.

How about the 10 yard cushions ALL game, the middle of the field wide open and the safeties nowhere to be found for help......was truly pathetic

Eerily reminiscent of how their 2014-2017 secondary used to play. That "15yds & in" method where they try to keep everything in front of them.

Truly astounding that they keep thinking that will work when it never does.
