I always felt that when both ends of the lineup contributed, we'd get some wins, retro. Asche, Brown, and Rupp have figured into the past 5 wins along with the core players. I wonder how long they can play at this level. A month or 2 would be cool. Half of the remaining 70 games or so are within the division and I think the Phils will make it interesting. If they can only avoid those ruts they've gotten into in the first half. Well, tomorrow is a great match up with Hamels and Strasberg.
Yep, they need to focus on consistency and I think they may be doing just that. I stated last evening after the Milwaukee series that this Washington series would give a clue as to whether or not the Phillies did indeed figure something out after that horrendous Pissburgh series. Preliminarily, it looks as though they might have but we shall see for sure in the next couple of games.
Is Fox serious with their graphics? "Phillies- Seeking their first playoff appearance since 2011." That's like saying "Ray Charles- Seeking his first glimpse of light since 1963"
Hamels is starting slow and Werth got a batter home we are already down by one. His pitch count is already at 17 in the first and this is not good as these things go.
