Sad to see that not only has the resident duck troll of this board started almost every thread in the oregon board, but also the UW one as well.
Sure, there aren't many huskies on this board, but how sad is it for a fan to be so obsessed with a rival that they taunt an empty board? lol. Whole different situation to taunt a live person.
It's easy to jump on a bandwagon and there is no surprise there are so many duck fans on this board and on boards everywhere. Try surfing the UW boards on the Seattle Times. Some days there are as many haters as fans. We get it. 80+ years of being the doormat and now they take that frustration out while they can. I can guarantee you I never bothered to post on other teams sites/boards when UW owned it. Of course we taunted when we could, but I wouldn't taunt an empty board lol.
For all this talk about 9 straight all they have to show for it is year after year after year of telling us they are going to win it all only to again find a way to trip up and fall short. We get all kinds of fairly sound reasoning why this is the year they are going to take it all and every year that bubble pops. So what do they have? Stats on making it to a BCS bowl and how many Pac12 teams they have beat how many times. Doesn't fill up the trophy case, but it helps fill that hole left by all those NT losses right?
Everyone knows UW has been down. Willingham put the final nail and drove it 20feet underground. I love all the idiots who talk about how many 7 win seasons they have had and try to use that as examples of how limited this staff is. Find an example of any program in the country who went from a 0 or 1 win season to a 10 win season in 3 years. When you have such a depleted program it takes 5 years to clean house and get a full staff. It can then take a few more before the talent is stocked enough to take full advantage of all red shirt years available. This is college football 101. Sark has his chances to build and prove he can take the steps and the truth is no one knows what the results will be. What we do know is the program is far better off than it was 4 years ago and it is nowhere near where it needs to end up. I won't sweat the details. Those things will work themselves out in due time.
It's about time for some of the dawgs to come back and and get jazzed up for the coming season. A brand new stadium overlooking Lake Washington with nearly 70k seats sitting right on the field and still the roof system that makes it sound a lot more like a dome for the opposing teams on the field. This is going to be the best place in the Pac to watch a game and there is no other stadium in the nation with a better view. From the taste of changes last year and what we have seen in spring the defense is looking much more like the defense of old and they look to be ready to take that next step. Timu and Shaq are going to make headlines week in and week out. Sankey showed he was ready to take the ball and run with it and now has a lot more backup support. Kasen Williams and ASJ are going to burn defenses all over and unlike last year there are 2-3 other guys able to burn it up as well so defenses will not be able to double team like they did last season. And that O line that was blown up by injury last year has 7 guys with 5 or more starts under their belts and some young kids stepping up to play as well. This is the most depth they have had on the line in a decade.
Want to taunt us? Go right ahead. Just more words to eat like all those predictions on winning the national titles. For the fans out there now is the time to get back on the bandwagon before the good seats are taken. Your team is on the mend and all those top 20 recruiting classes are starting to bring some excitement back to Montlake.
