Not trying to be a homer or anything but I think y'all lose to Tennessee this year

I read on another board that Coker and Cornwell looked awful. Barnett looked best followed closely by Morris. And then Bateman last. I think the source was Alex Scarborough, though I've never really cared for his reporting.

I have to say, if Barnett is our best chance at winning this year then I think we should play him. I know Saban doesn't like playing true freshman at QB. But damn I'm wondering if the light is ever going to come on for Coker.

Morris has the most playbook knowledge and experience. He would probably be the safest option, keeping the ball away from the defense.

Long term, Barnett or Cornwell is the best option.

Athletically and experience wise, Bateman and Coker are the best options.

I don't know, maybe it is a wide open race.

FWIW, Alec Morris almost beat McCarrons ADay squad his senior year. Led a drive all the way down the field at the end of the game, but his receivers didn't make the plays at the goaline at the end.

If the defense is as good as we all think it can be, then I really wouldn't mind a true freshman at QB IF - BIG IF here - he really is the best option for us to win. Longterm, I'd prefer Coker win it this year convincingly and set up a good battle between Barnett and Cornwell next year.

My only worry about playing a true freshman is he will turn into Johnny Football.

Damn it.

Tony Brown injuries shoulder today.

He was back at practice again today. Had a brace on and was favoring it a little, took it easy in contact drills.

I'm guessing he'll be ready to go by Wisconsin.

Marlon Humphrey stayed back in drills today with a muscle pull.
