Cozart takes 2 right down the middle, then strikes out.
Bruce is totally clueless at the plate.
I guess Jacoby doesn't much care.

Worse, you let a .240 hitter beat you three times in a row.
Valbuena owns the Reds. Do they NOT scout the hitters?

Choo makes Bowden throw 8 pitches and gets a walk.
Cozart swings at the first thing he sees and pops it up.
What is the point of having a good OBP for your leadoff guy? Do we never bunt?
Votto hit by pitch, Frazier a 5-pitch walk.
What is wrong with this picture?

Dusty won't even bunt a leadoff double to 3b in the 9th inning of a tie in a playoff flimsy ion game. He thinks small ball is a solo homer.

Wow auto spell F'd me there, I didn't even understand it. My point is Dusty never laid a bunt down in his life, so he has no clue how to play small ball.

Disgusting Dusty is clueless when it comes to putting runners in scoring position. Not sure why a manager would manage a game in such a fashion. Then again, we have players who dont know how to move the runner up by hitting to the right side. Dustmop will when just enough games for Walt to question himself on whether to fire this bum or not.

The pitchers apparently aren't complaining.

These guys love to bitch.

It's an inborn trait in all Reds fans.

And while I agree that more consistency from the offense would be a nice change...The offense is getting there.

The pitching has been great, and so has the D. The Reds lead the NL in runs.... So why aren't they leaving the NLC in the dust ? I guess it's not what you got, it's what you do with it, huh ?

Well, the Cards lost today and we're playing the Marlins. Golden opportunity here to lead the division at the end of the weekend. :hope:

Raw run totals don't mean shit.

Take the first Cardinals series...They scored 14, 1, and 0...

Hey! 5 runs per game!

Consistency is what matters, and like I said, they seem to be getting there...slowly but surely.

Might want to tone down your avatar, dude, as per the memo. Personally, I don't care. Just that the admins are being pressured.

The Reds have the third best record in Baseball behind the Cards and the Rangers. Its amazing how a 6 game win streak in May drastically changes what a teams record looks like.

It's tough to play .670 ball like the Birds have been doing.

Cozart continues to go 0-for-4. Not much value in having the top two OBP players in the league, is it? Even I am smart enough to know that Dusty is brainless as a mushroom at this point. Yeah, gotta get Cozart going, right? Dusty?

Maybe we could sign WIllie Harris.

Or modify the batting order.

If I didn't miss something, Cozart is 0 for 15, and is hitting about 200, I wonder how many major league, college, or high school teams have a 200 hitter batting 2nd in the lineup? This is the kind of thing that makes people wonder about Dusty's managing skills. Even though Dusty teams seem to win. I wonder how much better they would do if he would put the best hitters in front of the lineup, and maybe abandon the righty lefty batting thing. And move the catcher if he can hit up from the 8th spot.

Dusty would have batted Johnny Bench 8th if he were his manager

Dusty would have had this lineup:

Geronimo
Concepcion
Rose
Morgan
Foster
Griffey
Perez
Bench
Pitcher

what would your batting order look like mr. u? i don't like cozart in the two hole either, but what do you see as the alternatives? we could create an entire different thread about the merits (or lack) of the L-R-L-R-L-R-L config but it does present problems for opposing managers as it relates to their bullpens. doesn't show up in the box score any other way than 6 or 7 pitchers used. just curious what your optimal line-up would be and why.

As I wrote, I couldn't care less. They did, however, report that they DO have trouble with risque avatars and asked everyone to tone them down. I just post here.
