This Forum and SOTG 2014

Ok I was just thinking that if any of you wanted or knew of anyother good Reds forums. This forum at times can just be dead. Would like it if my CBS ole buddies join me,but if you guys don't feel the same ill stick with this forum. Just hate how it dies to where only like 4 people are posting sometimes. Oh and if we find a new forum or stay here. Is SOTG coming back this year?

I will continue to post here and I think a few others will too.
I also post on Redleg Nation but it's a much different type of decorum there.

As for SOTG, I think that one has run out of gas.
I would like to maybe do a Star of the Series ... something that keeps us interested.

I will keep posting stories as I find them interesting.

For one thing, Redleg Nation won't have any posters who aren't true-blue Reds fans.
But it is a pretty diverse group of posters.

Not as much traffic here, but I don't miss the juvenile trolls from CBS board. The offseason is offseason for fans usually...other than hardcores like some of us. Spring training will bring a few around, and if the Reds surprise and start a win streak, bandwagoners are inevidible.

They say you never forget your first love. I was swept off my feet by baseball long before any thing or one else. Winters are long for me. I stopped playing 29 years ago, stopped coaching full time 10 years ago, and completely 4 years ago. I only have one kid I coached still in the game- in the Blue Jays system. I still smell the leather, feel the grass under my feet, the pine tar on my hands. The snap of a curveball, the way the sound when you drive one. The lights. Adrenalin. It haunts me sometimes.

I haven't liked winter since snow days off school. The older I get the less I like it. We've had more minus temps this winter than I ever remember. Today here in dreary-old SW Ohio, snow is melting, to be followed by rain, usually causing flooding. Then when there is a lake everywhere, back to zero temps in a few days. Yuk.

I think the flood you fear is still in your future. Our half of Indiana won't see the ground for another 3 weeks at least. More snow coming next week.

I don't think I much miss the CBS forums but more am interested in the discussion surrounding the Reds and the teams they play. Whatever LeBron James and Robert Griffin III are doing is not much in my scope of interest.

I didnt choose to leave, I had no internet access. I dont have a problem with the forum its self,just the lack of people at times there bud.

I have internet now,but this forum dies at times during season. When I came back on forum when I got internet again,I notice there hasnt been very many people on here. Any other things that I gotta address? lol
