Did anyone watch Bruce Allen's press conference those reporters came hard at him and of course he side stepped the questions, he has no damn plan; seriously what was the point of having this press conference if you have a damn plan.

I heard take outs. Sounded like they were hammering him for a new GM. His dodge was it's early in the process and everything will be considered which is a whole lot better than stating that he would remain in charge of personnel with no changes to the scouting department.

His words were loaded. It did sounded like he would remain as the GM, but then like DGF mentioned Allen said everything will consider and/or evaluated. But does that include him as well. The one thing he said that pissed me off was, 'We'll see what works best for the Washington Redskins" A loaded ass answer. He stated today they'll start the interviewing process for the new Dc

A good gm never tells his plans to the enemy that would be treason

I listened to as much as I could stomach. Quite frankly, it was insulting. Allen has no plan. There would have been nothing wrong with coming out and stating that we are evaluating and there will be major structural changes that will occur. I am not going to discuss our strategy in a press conference, but suffice to say that what we have been doing is not working.

He even had the gall to say that there is not a cultural issue with this franchise. Really? If you are OK with a culture of losing, then I guess he is right.

This really was a disaster. I've heard from a lot of Redskins fans online and in person and everyone has the same take as you guys in this thread.

I found this post on another thread thought it appropriate for this one:

"So just for the record -- "Our charitable foundation is doing well" is one of the ways he mentioned the franchise is doing great."

"So, apparently, bringing attention to the nickname controversy and charitable foundation isn't just some mass conspiracy conducted by the Washington Post. Who'da thunk, huh?"

Yeah, I heard that one too and I wanted to puke. Its great they are doing charitable work, but this presser was not the place to bring it up. Just confirmed that he was up there winging it with no real plan.

This is a collection of twitter responses from all the media that regularly cover the Redskins.

So that Bruce Allen press conference went well - The Washington Post

Boswell wants to cry. Paulsen called it a "4-12 press conference". Louis Riddick (former FO employee) just laughs at #winningoffthefield, Keim, sarcastically says "So that went well". Chris Kinnard says "Feels like we lost another 6 games today". Bickel of the junkies calls Bruce an "empty suit."

Not good! And you all heard it here first, Bruce is a clown. I've been on his case since about week 3.

Yup, I was resisting the mania to jump on Bruce as I wanted to give him a bit more time. After today, I'm right there with you. If he is in charge and today is the best he can do, then we are in big trouble.

If you think that his presser was a disaster, check this out:

Bruce Allen's track record:

Oakland from 1995-2003...The Raiders went 69-72

Tampa Bay from 2004-2008, The Bucs record was 38-42 (Post Super Bowl)

Finally, here in DC from 2009- present, Washington's record so far 32-64

well here are some good things from the PR nightmare of the allen presser

he acknowledged they need to build through the draft and by saying we will have more back to back losing seasons he acknowledged we are rebuilding

those 2 things needed to be brought out

Maybe if all this A.J. Smith stuff really happens and he is given full control in return for moving to D.C., that might explain why Allen said little to nothing at the press conference. You can't speak on the future of the team if you know you won't play a meaningful part in it. Just a theory.
