He was signed for depth when some of our "Top" guys were out. Played 5 games, averaged 15 minutes and was a plus 2. Our other dmen:

Plus Minus

Streit +2 Schenn -12
Schultz +3 A Mac -6
Grossmann +3 MDZ -5
Coburn -3

Plus/Minus can be a misleading stat, but in this instance the 3 I would consider our best 3 dmen are plus and the others are minus. Why not give CC a shot. When healthy, he is a legitimate top 4 guy. Because of the contract situation, he isn't a long term solution, but these other guys aren't either. While not ideal, I would feel better, at this point with

Streit - Grossmann
CC - Schultz
3rd pair.

I have no problem with playing him. I don't know that he is "the solution" but he certainly isn't the problem

He should have been brought in when MacDonald was benched,as I said in another thread.

No way he sucks more than MDZ or Schenn.

MDZ has to keep is simple and he is a decent 3/4. Schenn has gone so far backwards he doesn't even resemble the player he was when the Flyers got him.
