That's pretty badass but I think there's always gonna be a place for good ol fashioned firearm engineering. If something like that goes haywire from either a malfunction or somebody else being able to send it a signal from an outside source it could be catastrophic for anyone around it.

You'd have to start aiming at their feet and hope you hit them before you reached the ceiling. Although, I guess if it's shooting that fucking fast the progression of recoil may not have time to take affect like it does with an AK or something.
