I actually kinda believe this.. after the few Nebraska fans phone cards dried up, callers on siriusXM from the midwest (PURDUE).. called in and was saying how this was reckless and are emailing representatives to have them speak to the representatives in the south. They feel that the P3 will have blood on their hands come the fall if the season plays out..

Now none of the other callers were that dramatic but I feel they will be calling in sooner than later on shows like these

This is a PR move by the SEC. When they have to inevitably cancel, they can shift blame on to others.

We ain’t cancelling. Numbers are going down across all SEC states.
Both Texas and Florida had 46000 new cases in the last 7days.
georgia had 23000
Tenn had 12000
Alabama and Louisiana both had over 8000

Hey I get it, I’d be in denial too if my team played in one of the other 3 conferences

You looking at the wrong thing...Numbers peaked in the south the week of July 16-July 23 and have been on the decline since. Hospitalizations have also been going down.

JFC ... now do deltas and trends. The trend is clearly going down. If it's not, then your mask theory is bullshit because people are being way more compliant with masks.

What exactly are we denying? FL, GA, TX, AZ, and CA all likely re-opened too early, but it was a risk they took to balance health and economy. When numbers spiked, the governors reacted and closed bars, lowered the number of people who can meet, mandated masks, etc. Couple all that with ending of the protests in most all areas, and getting though the 4th of July, and the number compared to mid-June look really good, relatively speaking.

Remember Arizona being all in the news? Go look at those numbers? Remember Houston and the hospitals? Go look at those numbers. The second wave came, it is being beat down as we speak. Again, one reason the Cuck 2 conferences were so stupid to not wait.

Give it another week or two and the other 3 conferences will inevitably come to the exact same conclusion. We’ve already seen this shtick play out when they went to only conference games

Your response doesn't have anything to do with my post. You said numbers were out of control. They aren't. Now, whether that means they play or not, no one knows. You appear to hope they don't ... I don't blame you, I'd be envious of the Alpha 3 of I was a fan of the Cuck 2. But, you were wrong on your numbers and trends. Whether we play football or not remains to be seen. But we are giving it a go, not cowering in fear.

Please quote me where I said that numbers are out of control in this thread. Thanks

This matters obviously but in regards to college football it doesn't.

We've seen reports out of the ACC of concerns over testing protocol but with over 30 days before the start of the season there is plenty of time for teams to get it right. Oklahoma State booted their best offense linemen this week and by best I mean a starting tackle who was arguably is the best prospect we've had on the line in the last decade. Big blow but he couldn't get it through his head that going out will screw things up for everyone right now. That's someone who could legitimately be a difference maker if we want to compete for a conference championship and suddenly way bigger shot at a playoff/NY6 berth but he was being a dumbass who could bring it all down so he's gone. Every school with q shot at playing is taking this as serious as they can. It doesn’t really matter what's going on around them as schools and their athletes are doing what they need to.

The B1G & PAC are run by leftist commies who hate college football only because they know real Americans enjoy it.
