lol at all the dummies out there saying the pacers got robbed by the refs

Ain’t a fan that I know that doesn’t know the refs suck

And blaming Brunson for embellishing is even dumber. His defender played him like an NFL cornerback

Pacers failed to put Knicks away.

Knicks def are the much weaker team right now, don’t blame them cause the Pacers kept them in game.

And as far as the offensive foul on Turner, he didn’t give divenchezo enough time to adjust. Shaq said ‘ he was run over .

Thibs better come up with a better game plan for game 2 or this could end fast
Time to adjust? wtf does that even mean. He set a screen with his feet set. Donte flopped bigtime to sell the call.

They haven't called flopping at all this postseason which is disappointing. Why have the rule if you never call it? Now you don't call a flop on that play but that also is a VERY weak call. Indy had a chance to take the last second shot for win or draw a foul to go up.

This can't happen. Awful call

That’s the way it was explained by the ref , Agree should not been called and yes divo sold it.. refs were easily influenced by the home crowd you can say

Still, you can’t keep the Knicks around

Yah, you cant keep the Knicks around by not actually kicking the ball on a non-reviewable call.

But I do actually agree...hate blaming the refs. They had several leads that they let the Knicks come back from.

Surprised, Christian Wood has already picked up his player option to stay with the Lakers for next season. He had months to make that call, glad it's out of the way.

Not just the flopping call but the refs/ silver..

Need to put a stop the dramatics after a player feels they were fouled, which is every time they shoot or drive to the court.

It’s beyond unprofessional.

I believe a player threw an ice pack on court from sideline, and nothing called.

You don't think the coach is responsible to call plays for AD in the 4th quarter? He also has time outs (although he seems to forget they exist) to get the team to the sideline and reinforce those directions. He was a bystander far too often.

He wasn't the only problem, but he definitely was a problem (and the easiest one to correct).

Weren't you one of those saying the players stopped listening?

Assuming you watched the games, you likely saw that Lebron was dominating the ball late in those games? Did you not see him trying to burn clock before trying to drive to the basket/or shoot a 3 against the shot clock? When he wasn't doing that, he was passing to a teammate for them to shoot against the clock.

You want to claim the players stopped listening, but then claim he didn't call plays for AD. How would you know if he called plays for AD if the players weren't listening to him and wouldn't have run them?

Or do you think he told them to stop getting the ball to AD and that's when they decided to listen to him?

Cannot say I watched the Lakers that much but was he so terrible that despite the terrible work done by the GM the only team he ever lost to in the playoffs was Denver?

So it was Hams fault that AD would only shoot the ball once or twice in the 4th?

Yes. Because it was a trend much of the year that when the Lakers ran an organized offense, they were really good. After the initial start of the season where the Lakers were getting their ass handed to them early in games (also Ham's fault, lack of prep), the Lakers settled into a pattern of running a good organized offense in the 1st and 2nd quarters. But the other team adjusts at halftime and Ham would have no counters or anticipation of this, and the team would get away from running organized offense. They would go from running plays something like high 50s to 60% on possessions (considered good around the league) to dropping into the 30s% (bad). This is why you see the team struggle in 3rd quarters for much of the year or how in 4th quarters, AD couldn't get the ball. AD isn't an iso guy. He's at his best getting shots within the flow of a structured offense. Over time, the problem compounded itself as the players got frustrated with Ham and would tune him out because they experienced game after game of looking for guidance in these situations and getting absolutely nothing. Contrary to popular belief, NBA coaches actually do stuff and do matter. Just because you've got pros that have been in the league 10+ years doesn't mean they're on autopilot in games and don't need a coach guiding them along in situations.
