I think we're seeing some life out of Gentry. I'm convinced if he gets some regular playing time ( which it looks like he will), he can positively contribute....yes, even against hard throwing RHP's ( he's a good bunter...is this a word?).

Looks like Fireball from LAA crapped the bed again. He is mental toast for the balance of this season.

Remember that guy was on fire last year until we got to him in early August.

That INF single was key to getting those insurance runs. Yes great job Craig and way to go Mitch.

Holland is getting "scary" good.

Guess we have Perez, Yu and Ogando against LAA this week.

This is the thing I'm desperately hoping for, to see Gentry turn it up at the plate...and yes Bunter is all good in baseball.

Mitch needs to step up as well, of course Murphy....who could get hot, ya never know, but I'm not counting on it...just a bad year from him

I will say I am glad good Army physical training over the years has kept my heart healthy. If not I think this team would have given me a stroke by now

The union will not back him on an appeal, too much evidence against him...they would only negotiate a plea if possible, which in his case is unlikely.
Rumors are he was actually trying to recruit players to Bosch and also tried to buy evidence. I'm going to bet the Union won't want anything to do with him

I don't know what it is about Nathan- he's converted like 33 of 35 saves, yet I practically have a nervous breakdown every time he comes into the game! I was even nervous when he closed the all-star game. The guy just wears me out!!

HA. He's 38 y/o...so yeah, he's making it a tiny bit more interesting...but the guy is so good and experienced, well... his record is telling the story.

But, remember when his nickname for awhile was 'Cardiac Joe' and I was saying he makes coffee nervous
I was especially nervous just because it's the comeback A's, but overall not worried about Joe at all...I hear ya though

That and the horrible blown save late last year against the Angels...blown saves can really get stuck in your brain...and it's not fair given how effective he's been...

Just came back to me when I heard those drums and whistles on TV coming from the Oakland fans. Reminded me of a "men's crossdressing club" who protested the Marine Corps Marathon I ran in 10 years ago in DC. They blew their whistles, beat the drums and all wore purple dresses. What a site! Hairy men in dressing gowns...LOL. Ran the marathon with a Pakistani kid named Babu. He ran up to them smiled and said "ladies or is it men, you look stunning today."
