I hate the White Sox. Yet another mediocre AL Central team that plays Texas hard.

Wow...I am tired...For some reason I was thinking "mid west" team and typed West instead of Central.

This date in history...
((( August 22nd 2007 )))
The Rangers become the first post-1900 big league team to score 30 runs in a game. After beating the Orioles, 30-3, setting a club single-game record 29 hits in the first game of the twin bill, Texas wins the night cap, 9-7, to break the AL mark of 36 tallies established by the 1937 Tigers during an August 14 doubleheader against the Browns.

Was watching MLB TV last night after our game. They showed the highlights of the A's-M's game. They showed the postgame interview with Melvin...Wow never saw that dude so frustrated before...always seemed like a calm guy. He was venting big time.

Good to see the injury bug finally hitting that team. We've been suffering all year, while they were immune for the most part....

I know no one is wishing injuries on another team. They are getting hit hard at a bad time. We have already made our adjustments. I think if Reddick goes on the DL for 15 days it is going to hurt them in the upcoming series against contenders.

I had rather beat their best then we can boast and they stay healthy. Not good to wish injuries on other teams.

We've been the most injured team all year. Well, the rangers and the Yankees. I don't want their guys to be on crutches for life or anything. I just want the depth of their organization tested like ours was.

This is the article from MLB.com describing Bob Melvin's frustration. Also noted that Reddick left the game with a sprained wrist:

MLB.com Gameday | oaklandathletics.com: Gameday

Bob Melvin was very frustrated in his interview, but they have to come to earth sometime. They rate and way they've been winning for their talent level simply isn't sustainable. Hopefully the self-correction continues.
