I think Chip lucked into Murray ... you don't go into free agency thinking the NFL's leading rusher who's only 27 will be available. I think Chip wanted Gore, with Mathews as the fallback and he'd draft a Back to groom. Gore left him at the alter, Mathews looked like he'd work out as the fallback ... then, thru a stroke of luck, Murray was lowballed by Dallas. What better way to stick it to them than playing for a rival twice a year??? Back to the initial question ... I don't think Chip planned this at all, just worked out for him
