What is the deal with Steve's injuries? First I heard he has a neck injury, now its his ankle? He is sitting out against the Warriors due to an ankle injury. I just worry how many games can we realistically expect to see Steve in this year, and Im not sold on Steve Blake as he has been too inconsistent as a Laker. Jordan Farmar deserves to be the primary backup in my opinion as he has really been shining so far. What do you guys think?

Ankle injury is what was announced. They also said he could play if needed. They intend to sit him out on one of the games in all back to backs.

Pretty much Steve Nash is going to sit out half of the season on back to backs. Ugh.

There aren't THAT many back to backs. It will amount to a handful of games. Better to have him for a potential playoff appearance.

As injury prone as nash has been who knows if that will help.. Hopefully our bench is good enough where he doesnt have to play that much.

Even if he doesn't play as much, he can still be a big help to the younger guys like Farmar, Blake and even Meeks. I saw some play from Farmar last night that was vintage Steve Nash.

Yes and I would prefer Farmar to be the primary backup instead of Steve Blake. Blake is freaking terrible.

He's the oldest player in the league. What do you expect?

By that logic that would mean all olderhttp://sportshoopla.urecipescom.netdna-cdn.com/images/editor/separator.gif players are injury prone which isnt necessarily true.

Steve Nash is injury prone and the fact that hes 40 makes it even worse. I've watched him a lot longer than you guys have... Why do you think Dantoni considered sitting him in the second of back to back games?

Yea I get it AZ-Dbacks that your a Suns fan but I live in Phoenix and unless you have been around sports for 50+ years like I have, I doubt you have seen more of Steve Nash than myself and say Silas who has the same characteristic. Better include VitaMike as well because he's been around quite awhile too.

AZ you have a legitimate point and I know he is injury prone. I just dont think it is due to him being 40. What gets me is all the mystery injuries that come up. First the neck, now its his ankle, what will be next? Hopefully he can give LA 10-15 minutes a night when he does play. I dont really hope for more than that.

The part that I have trouble understanding is how was he able to run around and play soccer in the offseason, yet now all I'm hearing is that he's out of shape and banged up?

He was Outlaw? That makes as much sense as Bynum going bowling on bad knees lol

Some of these guys are just playing the system to get paid. Nash and Bynum are two examples.

I've been watching him since he was at Santa Clara. So, I doubt it.

Can't remember at exactly what point in the offseason but yeah, they marketed it as him "trying out" for some pro soccer team.

Wow just wow Outlaw. Well it was a risk when we traded for him and it is backfiring.

Nash always plays soccer in the offseason. He had a "tryout" with one of those Euro teams when they were visiting the states. It was for fun as he certainly isn't on the level of those professionals. I think the front office may have buyer's remorse considering how much they gave up for him.
