Also, as others have pointed out.....Martinez having to dunk a basketball every play in order to reach Jurgens’ snaps threw the timing off on all of those plays.

I’ll bet Martinez wasn’t planning on getting a full calf workout

What I’m trying to get at is, I actually think Frost just felt like we could win that game without getting pretty.

He wanted to keep the playbook closed.

I don't buy that, but it works to kick the can down the road and keep hopes up.
You do what you prepared to do week in and week out. It's called an 'identity'.
You perfect your identity.

But I don’t disagree with you @Red_Alert. If we try to run Mills as our feature back the whole season we’re going to get beat down.

We aren’t built that way. Not even close. We are 180 degrees from the Alabama’s of the world. Which UCF and Oregon were as well.

Mo Washington isn't that guy either. He's too skinny IMO.
Give me a youtube highlight reel of Mo breaking tackles, breaking lose. I'll wait.

Mo arrived last fall about 20 lbs undersized. I remember everyone (including me) saying he'll get that back and more in the weight room. A year later that hasn't panned out.
Look at the gains LP made from freshman to sophomore year.
Mo isn't even as big as LP his freshman year, and LP was thin his freshman year.

But he doesn’t need to be thick. That’s kinda what I’m getting at. Frost wants to out run teams, not run through teams.

Yea I don’t think Frost will ever expect Mo to break tackles. That’s not what he was recruited to do.

Mo doesn't outrun teams tho.

I know what you're alluding to, but Mo doesn't make people miss, he doesn't find running lanes, nor break tackles against DB's in open field either.

Put the kool-aid down and think about what all great backs are made of whether they're finesse or smash-mouth.

What separates them from the rest?

Did you see him hitting running lanes, making people miss, and out running people to the house?

High school film is great and all, but there is an entirely different level of speed and talent by LB's and DB's in college.
Even at S. Alabama.

Oh I disagree there. He’s a wiggly little sumbitch. He made a lot of people miss last season.

LOL

I'll go by the highlight reel. You know, the one where someone took the time to go through all the games and find his BEST plays over the entire season?

Here's a wiggly mf'er right here that takes it to the house.

Mo's got none of that.

Mo might make some plays out of the backfield as a receiver in wide open space, but that o-line's not gonna open holes for running lanes that result in big plays.

What's the purpose in being or even having a RB if every D-coordinator knows that part of the game is not a threat?

If JJM knows Frost don't care about that part of the game, surely the DC's know it.

Warchin' 'BTN Football In 60'.

It's just as bad the second time. Especially having to listen to Beth Mowins again.

It's even worse on BTN In 60 because there's no pauses in her voice. It's play-to-play-to-play with no huddle or commercial breaks.
