Someone finally sued EA

Class action of course. I'm hoping you get $5 for every football game you bought, I could make an easy $25...

What are the requirements to actually get the money? Will you have to have receipts for the games? or just have them? Sounds like a lot of red tape to me.

You don't need to have your receipts when you file your claim. All you do is select which games you bought, sign an affidavit swearing that you're telling the truth, and your claim is registered.

i got an email about that yesterday...evidently for some platforms, they are paying out like 25 bucks a game...others, $5....i filled it out, whats the worst that could happen? more spam?

most of those listed i bought for ps2 which i believe was the $25 variety

yep, up until this past year, i've bought every NCAA football game, and all but 2 of them were for PS2

I opted out. I don't see the point of taking pennies on the dollar and giving a lawyer the rest when game prices are essentially standard and I would have bought them either way.

I got them to refund 50 dollars to me for the Lord of Ultima Game, even after I used all the funds.

I think you can get EA to do anything nowadayz....

since I'm still waiting on the suppossed ~2k or so I'm due on the DeBeers... I'm getting a kick out of people cheering for 25 bucks out of EA
