Chirinos should not have called for a 2 strike breaking pitch to a LH hitter. Just keep pounding fastballs.

Just think deciding factor is what Elvis does but from an insurance at point you may be right. Just hoping Odor can make some recovery

Perhaps a poor choice of words but well known that Profar most value is at SS. If Elvis opts and not extended then of course he plays SS and is a fit for the tight knit old Hickory crew.

You would agree that Rangers will be in sell mode by the break. LAD needs a SS. I like Profar but don't think it realistic for him Elvis and Odor to coexist especially since IKF looks like our super utility guy of the future.

They definitely should be in sell mode, but I don't think they are playing anyone at a certain position on the big league club to enhance their trade value. Now if Elvis were healthy and they had Profar at SS then that might be the reason. I just don't see any positional decision being made with the trade season in mind. Choo might be playing every game in the OF if that kind of thing motivated them.

IKF is regressing some, to me, probably to the mean and Profar is looking better, but his struggles with throws at SS are worrisome long term, I see him more as a 3b or 2b at this point

IKF's fall back probably comes as no surprise to anyone. And I agree with you on the throwing problem with Profar. His trade value, at least as a SS can't be very high right now. But he looked good at 2nd.
