Should I drop Will Myers?

He's my 3rd hitter on the DL so now I have no bench options for hitters.

Cut him or not?

3 OF league? I would say he's probably droppable... but I'd put him on the trade block first and see who bites.

Yeah 3 OF league. Not sure anyone would take him since he's going to be in a cast for 6 weeks

My other DL's are Beltran, Harper, and Cashner. I don't have any hitters available available on my bench due to these 3 injuries ( I had one before Myers got hurt) and my bench pitchers at the moment are Strasburg, Jimenez, and Samardzija. BTW it is a daily league so I change my bench pitchers almost everyday depending on if they're starting or not

Cashner is due back this weekend I believe. So you should be able to just swap them and stash Myers.

Padres ace Andrew Cashner has had a brush with elbow soreness that, inexplicably in this day and age, did not result in him being scheduled for Tommy John surgery. Now it looks like he’ll be back on Saturday, barring any weirdness.
Cashner had a successful 65-pitch simulated game Monday and before that he had a good bullpen session

Decisions, decisions -

Carlos Beltran went 1 for 5 in his final extended spring training game and could rejoin the New York Yankees starting lineup in the next few days.
Beltran, placed on the 15-day disabled list May 15 because of pain related to a bone spur in his right elbow, singled and hit two balls near the right-field fence Wednesday against Toronto minor leaguers.
The eight-time All-Star says the elbow feels fine after his third extended game. He likely will get most of his at-bats as a designated hitter.

In a 3 OF league, the replacement options could be really good. If they are, Myers is absolutely droppable, but it totally depends on who you can get.

Since you have a DL spot, that is the safe play, but if it comes to the point where your injured players affect your ability to put a winning team out there, then a Myers drop likely won't kill you.

Just dropped him in mbbrl. Sucks...but he might only get 45 games in. If he'd started to turn the corner pre-injury I may have hung on.

I would be keeping Springer over Votto at this point. Even with the off year, power down, RBIs down, and with knee problems any chance you had of getting the occasional stolen base are down. You've got 1st covered with Abreu. Drop Votto & keep Springer.

Also Shields is a nice pitcher to own, but there is ZERO upside here. I'd rather roll with someone like Rendon, Taveras or maybe Trumbo over him. I only see 6 keepers listed and 3 are pitchers. That's way too many in my book.

That leaves your sixth guy between the leftovers between Rendon/Taveras/Trumbo or possible Shields or Votto.

And considering you only keep 6, Myers is a safe drop for this year.

Cole, Cueto, Abreu & Springer should be your top 4 choices for keepers. Anyone disagree?

No those should be the four but next year Votto could be healthier. I cannot just drop him. I would have to get something for him, but no one would probably bite. So he has to be keeper five. The sixth would probably go to Taveras. I like Rendon but Taveras is a future stud.

On second thought I won the claim on Walker, so Cueto might have to not be a keeper.
