We have runners on the corners with two outs. Is anyone going to score here?

This is for you Macho.

Blue=kidding
Green=serious
Black=maybe

Now the wheels have come off. Hamels is done with 97 pitches for just five innings. Hamels is obviously on the down-side of his career. He'll finish out the year but the aging players that can't produce like they used to are mounting up.

Nice base hit by Howard on the first pitch. Let's see if they score any runs or just strand people on base like the Phillies normally do.

Well enough for tonight. This is going to be another loss. Six-in-row after our famous five-game winning streak.

I left the game at 0-0, just tuned in to find we're gonna lose 5-0, or more. Watching the Phillies has become like watching a company game where the employees are just playing for fun and to loosen up before they tear into the sandwiches and beer.

Who do you get rid of and how? Byrd and Papelbon are about the only easily movable players right now. Neither of which will garner much of a return. Although I'd be willing to move Paps just to move him.

Rollins - 10 and 5
Utley - 10 and 5
Howard - Who wants that contract right now?
Lee - No trade to over 2/3 of the league. Might make 2 starts by trade deadline.
Burnett - Pitching with a hernia.
Brown - Who wants him? You'll get nothing in return anyway
Revere - s/a/a
Chooch - Battling concussion
Asche - You'd be out of your mind.
Hamels - s/a/a

So what's your plan?
Burnett to the Pirates. Trade Bastardo for a minor league starter. Howard to anyone and pay half his salary. Trade Paps to the tigers and eat about 3 million of his salary.

lol. Would we have any more wins? The young hitters brought up are doing little. Selling means collecting all the unwanted garbage from teams who need a cheap, temporary quick fix. I had been hoping for a smooth changeover from old to young, but it's nor working out, and I'm still glad they tried it. Selling last year or this year, we will still be looking at years of baseball development down the road.

This is the bottom line: Selling last year or this year, we will still be looking at years of baseball development down the road.

asche is the only hitter we've brought up and he has been holding his own...nothing great but Ok. Brown is no longer someone we just brought up...he too, should have been packaged and sent somewhere else. Anyone else that was brought up was not expected to be a full time major leaguer...only the fans anointed galvis as the heir apparent to jroll. Hernandez was always projected as a utility player and Rupp's ceiling was a backup catcher. So far, franco and perkins have bombed out at AAA. Ruff can't stay healthy. It is so obvious that we need more prospects in the farm system! Check out Lehigh and Reading, they have mostly career minor leaguers or retread veterans.

From a distance, Kendricks looks a little bit like Dale Earnhardt Jr.
