I'm not satisfied with early exits, but I'm happy with making the playoffs every year but 1 under the same regime that brought a Lombardi to Seattle.

There is far worse than being a perennial playoff team. We're still that.
The 90's Hawks were bad teams but imagine what Browns fans had to go through the last 18 yrs. Week 1 and already knew the season was over.

Im happy we won a superbowl, but its been 7 years. At some point you have to come to terms and realize we arent getting back there with the current people running the show.

This is what Robert Turbin said in a tweet that the offense looked very basic. I would imagine playing a game where the defense is giving you nothing they didn't feel comfortable trying to be fancy especially having thrown a pick 6 earlier in the game.

Yep that was something i was saying in either this thread or another one they do not have option routes that change based on defensive coverage, you get what you get with the Hawks offense. The Pick 6 in the Rams game go read what the DB said. "Thats what they always do" and his is correct the offense is very vanilla and EXTREMELY predictable.

The Bottom Line:

Seahawk's record before Pete Carroll-
Wins: 255, Losses: 277-1, a 0.479 W%
Playoffs: 7-10, and 0-1 in SB

Seahawks's record under Pete Carroll-
Wins: 112, Losses 63, a 0.640 W%.
Playoffs: 10-8 and 1-1 in SB.

Y'all are getting spoiled. Anyone that has been around knows this has been a great ride under PC. I don't think a 12-4 record should be a call for heads to roll when I've seen a lot of 6-10 type years. But I do agree there is always room for improvement.

I like it. His worst offense was 11th and his best was 3rd. Gordon/Eckler made for a great running duo and the passing game with Herbert was pretty good for being a rookie. He'll add a nice fresh look to our offense if the FO hires him.

Lynn was one of the 6 I listed as possible candidates a few pages back... He's a guru when it comes to knowing running backs as well as having a commitment to the run... The only downside is, he hasn't been a offensive play caller before... That's the only concern I would have...

Josh Gordon suspended indefinitely... I say good rithens... At some point, you have to stop giving someone 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, etc chances... He'll probably end up under the Freeway off of I-5 downtown Seattle at this rate...

there is still no report on what he did this time. ( Josh Gordon ) At least i didn't find it. All i keep reading is he did not fulfill terms of his reinstatement.

The word is that he had a personal crisis (a close friend or relative passed I believe?) and he relapsed.

Not really, he was under a 1 year contract, so he wasn't counting against next year's cap anyway.

Don't know much about him outside him making the receiving game of the Rams pretty dang good with avg to above average talent... Higby - 4th rounder; Kupp - 3rd rounder; Woods - waived by Bills/ FA; and Goff? All in all, if that's the case, hope his scheme can get some better production out of our TE's...

He would be the 6th coach who left the Rams so far this offseason...
