Granted I don't know all the details but I think Rypien's choice to sign with the Denver Broncos as an undrafted free agent is a gigantic mistake on his part. I say that because the Denver Broncos are one of the 11 NFL teams who drafted a quarterback in this year's NFL draft. Meaning 21 NFL teams did NOT draft a QB this year. Rypien would have been MUCH better off waiting to hear from one of those 21 teams who didn't draft a QB this year rather than signing with a team that took Missouri's Drew Lock in the 2nd round of this year's NFL draft.................big mistake IMO.

Denver is not the closest NFL team to Boise if that was what you are saying here. Seattle is the closest NFL team to Boise. Oakland and San Francisco are also both closer to Boise than Denver.

Boise to Seattle = 504 miles
Boise to Oakland = 634 miles
Boise to San Francisco = 640 miles
Boise to Denver = 814 miles

Contract details were released and now it makes sense why he signed there

I think if all goes well Denver plans to have him as the 3rd string QB
