yesDoesn't Cam have a bit of a bum knee right now?
and how many can u keep7th round pick + Cam is worth considerably more than Russel Wilson + a 12th. That 7th round pick is a good flex/bench RB/WR or a high end TE.
Do you have to keep a QB? What are your other options?
5 rounds?
I suppose I dunno I’m tornIf it were 4th vs. 9th, you would have a point.
But the reality is that you probably aren't getting a difference maker in the 7th anyway.
I am all for round value.
But, would you rather have Cam Newton and Cooper Kupp, or Russell Wilson and Dede Westbrook.
That is the difference we are talking about here. Yes, your 7th round pick is a lot more likely to be a contributor than your 12th. But the gap between Wilson and Cam is greater than the gap between the players you would have taken in those respective rounds.

in that scenario wilson hands downAppreciate all the opinions so far guys. Interesting how we do this keeper league. We can only keep 1 guy, but don't have to keep anyone. The catch is your keeper must have been drafted Round 5 or later and they must have stayed on your roster all year. That being said, here are my other options:
6th round: Greg Olsen
13th round: Justin Tucker
Maybe I don't keep anyone and draft from scratch? I've won this league 2 of the last 3 years and I've always kept somebody. But trying something new couldn't hurt.
Agree, cam in 12th has more value.
If you really want Wilson, go for it. No fault in that, and 7th is good value for him
Definitely agree with your renewed assessment, however, the last line really shouldn't worry the Cam supporters.just reviewed Cam's latest season.
I change my answer
Keep Wilson in the 7th - he's the better player.
Upon further review of Cam's 2017:
-most rush att of his career at 139, avg 47yds rush/gm
-passed for over 300yd 2 times, passed for under 200yds NINE times
-combined rush/pass TDs: 3gm with 4, 1gm with 3, 3gm with 2, 5gm with 1, 4gm with ZERO
you lost at least 3-4 games last yr solely due to Cam if he was your starter, and at most, he won you 3.
Now with CJA, there goes any added bump in RZ rushing attempts from the JStew departure.
I found the numbers for anyone who cares...
Apparently he improved somewhat
He had 8 carries on 3rd or 4th and less than 3, 7 first down one TD.
However, inside the opponents ten, he had 13 carries for 17 yards and only one score. So there's still cause for concern. When the field shrinks, so does CJ' production.
