Hey, if I had a second team it would be the Flames.

I just think Treliving's a piss GM sticking around because his boss is a friend and he only fires friends when this happens:

The only thing I can think is that Treliving assumed (wrongly as it turned out) that the Flames would be a playoff team this season and it totally slipped his mind to add lottery protection to that 1st round pick he was sending to the Isles. I guess everybody is capable of having a Jay Feaster moment
