Jets signed WR Allen Lazard, formerly of the Packers, to a four-year, $44 million contract.

it will be a riot if rodgers doesnt sign now

Um... Is there a certainty Rodgers will be commited to the Jets for four years? It better be.

The Jets went 7-10 with (don't laugh) Zach Wilson, Joe Flacco and Mike White each making at least four starts. They have the offensive and defensive rookies of the year, and Breece might have beaten out Garrett if he'd stayed healthy.

Consistent, competent QB play would make a big difference. Rodgers wouldn't have to carry this team; he would just have to not drop it.
On paper - yes. However, we've all seen this movie before. When all the holes are filled with the perfect pieces everything turns to mush. People are already willing cosmic karma to intervene and fuck things up.

this wouldnt feel right if it wasnt a debacle...

so Rodgers wants the Jets to add lazard, Beckham and Cobb, But rodgers has complained forever that the packers gave him no receivers, so what is he saying??

This whole situation sucks... Jets screwed themselves by going all in for rodgers, because now they missed out on every other veteran QB... so they have to get rodgers....

and the more the jets take, the more i am thinking that they overpaid the packers in a trade...
Maybe he just doesn't want to run out. Cobb is a 5. Lazard is a 3.

Cosmic karma got a lot of calls to fuck up the Patriots back in the day, too.

These deals don't work out for a lot of teams, but it did for Peyton Manning and the Broncos and Brady and the Bucs.

There's no veteran QB worth caring about. What you really want is a young franchise QB, who the Jets don't have access to this year. So in the meantime spend a year or two trying to get a chip with Rodgers.

Brady to the Buccaneers was a perfect piece.

The Patriots never needed a perfect piece and generally people were happy for Manning to be back in the NFL after a year out, (or they were just happy to be rid of Tebow).

I disagree. The jets are epicly bad at drafting and developing qbs. I don’t want them attempting to start over like that anytime soon. I think they need to go the veteran path for at least the next 5 seasons no matter what.

They did lose 8 of their last 10. Their victory against Cleveland was also the most improbable of the whole season so they are probably more like a 6-11 team last year that just gave up.

That said, Breece Hall, Garret Wilson, Sauce, Q Williams and a competent QB and they're a playoff team.
They're a playoff team if Tua can't stay healthy cause the Dolphins are a better team than the jets.

So, I don't follow the NFL that closely, is this a done deal or what?
