Police reveal details of Haskins' death​

The first official reports about the death of Dwayne Haskins have been released, along with information that they are in the process of conducting a "traffic Homicide Investigation."

"Mr. Haskins was walking on a limited access facility (Highway/expressway) for unknown reasons. He was attempting to cross the westbound lanes of Interstate 595 when there was oncoming traffic. Unfortunately, he collided with an oncoming dump truck. Mr. Haskins was pronounced dead on scene," the Florida Highway Patrol announced Saturday morning.

It was also reported he was coming from the airport and ran out of gas.

No human being collides with a moving dump truck. They get hit.

I know of two people who died after getting hit by a car/truck on a busy highway - one was suicidal and the other was changing her tires on the shoulder.

A terrible way to go either way and I hope Haskins and the two people I know are resting in eternal peace.

I can't front. That never crossed my mind till reading Chiller's post. I was just hoping it wasn't drug or alcohol related, but that's where my thoughts were at. I'd rather it be either one over suicide though

So after 6 days now we literally know less than the day this happened.

1. Why was he on an interstate with no obvious car or vehicle anywhere to be found

2. Where other than coming from or to the airport was he headed

3. Was drugs/alcohol involved

4. Was suicide a factor

I personally think he committed suicide. Either way RIP Mr. Haskins. Hopefully your in a better place
