So why is Grilli still pitching high leverage situations?

just tuned in for the bottom of the 8th.
why was locke taken out at 83 pitches.
seems with a ragged BP and a starter who is going pretty strong, we let the starter go till 100-110 pitches or until he starts to get knocked around.
then go melancon in the 8th and watson in 9th, or locke through 8 and watson in the 9th.

grilli is officially deemed 6th and 7th inning material and we look at
watson, meloncon, hughes as the back 3 and pimentel as a potential closer if we don't use him as a starter and some of those AAA guys come around (taillon, kingham, cumpton, locke, sadler, sampson, glasnow)

I guess we can keep Grilli around in some capacity, but he's been abysmal this season, just really bad, reliable only to blow the lead.

We have options, it's time to use them.

Instead of Wilson, Watson, Melancon, then Grilli just make it Grilli, Wilson, Watson, then Melancon.

Also, Bryan Morris changes teams, and figures out how to strike guys out now. Sucks the Pirates couldn't get anything out of him.

I hate it when home plate umpires don't at least ask for help on the close check swings.

Vance Worley will pinch hit and try to get the sacrifice bunt down with two on and none out.

He can't get it down, but with the wheel play on, it might not be that bad of a thing.

I just read that Chapman has added that changeup this year, and that, after today's outing, it's been swung at 16 times, and not even a foul tip has resulted yet...

I know the reaction is to get out of the way, but maybe Martin should have done a slightly less good job of it.
