Series Thread: Rangers/White Sox 4/22-4/24

Very disappointing and frustrating series. Only the Rangers would go from sweeping a team to getting swept the next series. The white sox are a good team, but the Rangers should not have been swept.

I'm OK with all this really.

Ramos has lots of upside, gets to come up - albeit undeserved right now - throw a few innings, get exposed to the bright lights and expectations, without too much pressure. Hopefully a real good thing for his future.

And Hamels gets his problem taken care of before May and all is good. Now if Cole is hurt worse and misses "real time" this is all becomes poppycock.

I'm never fine with a starting pitcher injury. Yu Derek Martin Colby Harrison way to many and now Hamels. Nope never fine no matter who comes up if a starter has to go down to make it happen. I know, poppycock.

You're assuming worst case, I'm not. In fact, WAY worst case.

It's April, and I try to let it all play out for awhile before getting "totally alarmed" is all I'm suggesting.

IMO to put Hamels groin pull in the same sentence with Darvishs' Tommy John surgery, or Harrison's conic, perhaps career ending back problems is too alarming.

I read this not very long ago, "50% of the starting pitchers in the major leagues will go on the DL each and every year." And Hamels, granted it's today, is not slated for the DL.

Ramos is probably going to tax the bullpen. His longest outing this year in AAA in 4.1 innings. He isn't on the 40 man either. I doubt we can send him back down without exposing him to waivers so he may become our long man.
