Boy, the Cubs are looking like the powerhouse everyone though they'd be.
Yes they are. Their catchers, Fowler (30) and Zobrist are the only position players over 30. La Stella is 27 and the others are 26 on down.

Not bad when you consider Ichiro was not really a rookie.

Not since 2003, when Rocco Baldelli accomplished the feat for Tampa Bay, had an AL rookie won the honor for April and May. Mazara joins Baldelli and Ichiro Suzuki (Seattle, 2001) as the only rookies to have won the award in April and May. Mazara also led AL rookies in batting average, on-base percentage (.319), total bases (52), hits (30), extra-base hits (eight) and runs (12). His 52 hits this season check in as the second-highest total for any Rangers batter over his first 45 career games -- Bump Wills had 53 in that span in 1977

Well that's it. Rumor has it that Maz is looking for an early extension like Roogie but he wants contract like Trout.

MVP contract. Ha......

Well he does have a bright future here don't you know

Trout had a couple mvp seasons before he got that deal. Let Maz do that, then we'll talk

I said I think he had mvp potential, but I wasn't referring to this season.

Some people here think otherwise. He has good rookie of the year potential, but not MVP THIS YEAR. Why some people think MVP this year? I don't fucking know.

Not with Betts, Ortiz, Bradley Jr., Machado, etc... having the kinds of seasons they are

Maybe a couple years ago when the offensive numbers were lower

No, you don't know. That much is evident. You don't know the English language apparently.
