Reminds me of the year the Fuckin Lakers let that happen by the Suns. Feels good though to see some one else in that kind of pain for a change

Difference is, that Lakers team had no business even pushing that Suns team to an elimination game. They should have been swept.

Yeah- they were the like the little engine that could - I kind of thought that the Thunder was out matched, and was winning because they got really physical. I think you have give the GS credit for standing up to the physical and figuring out - I don't see how the Thunder can beat the GS at their home now

I'm sure Warriors fans feel the same way, had Curry not been rusty from missing several weeks to injury during the playoffs.

It is interesting that both series pitted an underdog with a more standard system against a quick shooting perimeter team.

I doubt it. That 2006 series vs. the Suns was a 2 seed vs. 7 seed matchup. This one was 1 vs. 3. You expect a 2 seed to end a series vs. a 7 seed in no more than 5 games. Not so much when it's 1 vs. 3.

Agree though that it was teams that play a more standard system that gave them the most trouble. In both cases, the size difference was why those teams were able to extend that series.

Sure, but it was also 73-9 vs 56-27. Lakers series was 61-21 vs 42-40, nearly the same gap (19 games vs this year's 17 games).

73-9 is an anomaly. There is a huge difference between 56-27 and 42-40. Plus, that 56-27 team blew something like 15 late leads, If they win just 7 or 8 of those, it's a 63-64 win team. They also had just beaten a 67 win team in 6 games..

If that 56-27 team could hold onto late leads, they'd be in the finals.

I don't think it would take as much as the #2 pick to get Okafor. They need guards and they need experience. Lou for Okafor trade is a lot fairer than you might think.

I hope this post is straight out of the Onion

Sixers already had Williams
No way they give up Okafor for that retread without more involved
Lakers would have to cough up the #2 in some sort of package deal (including the Sixers maybe giving up one of their first rounders)

Not gonna happen. If the Lakers wanted Okafor, they would've drafted him last year. Defensive liability and slows down the offense. Not exactly made for today's NBA.
