I think he's just getting the night off, along with Mark Alt

Medvedev is such a wildcard for this season. Really interested to see how he does

Really encouraging game from what I could see (bad free stream tonight).

Konecny is awesome.
The top line, especially raffl, looked ready to go.
Medvedev seemed pretty solid.
Provorov had a couple real nice rushes. He does look a little small though to me. Could use some added muscle for sure.

Also nice to see schenn pot one in the other game. Same for leier but for different reasons I guess.

Combined score of 7-6, I think we'll take it!

Glad to see their is life in this team. Overall pretty encouraging, especially for a split squad game.

That was a solid opener for the Flyers in Allentown - Travis Konecny would make the team if the Flyers didn't have a few high end contracts stuck up front, he's a high energy player who could make an impact already but I think the smart thing will be to let him get more playing time at a lower level before he makes the jump

Michael Raffl has always been the perfect complement for G and Jake

It's only preseason and the games will be much different when the regular season begins but I think having a coach who knows what he is doing and who truly believes in the players he has goes a long way towards having success in the future

Hakstol is where a lot of my hope lies this year. On paper I don't think we stand a chance against Pittsburgh, the Rangers, Islanders, Wahsington, or Columbus, but Hakstol just seems to have a ton of potential behind our bench and could really be the upgrade a lot of guys needed. To have Voracek, Giroux, Couturier, and Schenn all used correctly could wind up paying dividends this season. I am cautiously optimistic.

Yep I'm in agreement with this

I don't think the Flyers roster is as talented as a few of those other teams but I think coaching makes a big difference, especially in big games - I think it could win them a few extra games if everything goes well

I'm cautiously optimistic as well - at the end of the day, it IS up to the players to be better and the coach can only do so much but I think when you consider how the Flyers have upgraded at head coach, anything they get from Dave Hakstol is more than what they got previously
