Gonna have to work out the kinks in the first game. A typical opening game with both teams shooting themselves in the foot and making several really poor plays. It's to be expected. But the OU fans won't be satisfied with the way they played and will have plenty to worry/bitch about.

I think Navy has a chance this year, openning up on the road with a QB that has never thrown a college pass. And Navy sometimes is sneaky good.

I'm honestly concerned as well. No idea what the young QB has...might be a 4-5 loss season for Ohio State this year. :pout:

That said, homer pick: tOSU 24 - Navy 13

Hey, grab a buddy and hop over to the BigTen. Save $$ on pay per view plus renew your rivalry with Nebraska.

Don't see a downside. :suds:

Sloppy game by both teams early but WVU works the kinks out first and gets ahead. Bama makes a great late run but WVU hits a long FG for the win.

I'll just copy and paste my thoughts from the Bama board...

I'm sure they'll come out all pumped up trying to prove something (like every team Bama plays) and will probably look alright to start out. Having said that, I figure by the start of or up to midway through the 3rd qtr. or so the talent/depth/coaching gap will start to show and the game will pretty much be decided. Could be wrong, but I don't see them as that big of a threat.

Bama - 38
WVU - 17

wouldn't have to do that if you had a Big12 network....

What does "in the mix" mean?

"The SEC's traditional pay-per-view football games will now be "in the mix" for SECN games."

:noidea:

No damn clue. I could see a close Wisconsin win, a close LSU win, or even a big LSU win.

The only thing I'm pretty confident in is that both teams will probably score 30+.

I expect a closer result than what most people, even Bama fans expect. A lot of people will look at the score and judge this Alabama team without ever watching the game. This game will only be winnable by WVU if they get kick returns and turnovers for TDs. But even without that I still suspect a closer than expected game. On offense I think Bama will struggle to move the ball and gain rhythm. They will use 2 QBs allowing them to play most likely 2 series then switch. This will break up the passing flow. Plus the supposed better passing of the 2 is a transfer who just came in weeks ago and has very little time to get to play with the new WRs as well as practice the plays. He will play at a slower speed thinking through the game instead of acting on instinct.

We will probably run the ball a lot due to this. But WVU knows this so they will stack the box. The oline is full of raw talent but how they will play together out of the gate is yet to be seen. Perhaps like the QBs maybe they will need a few games until they begin to work together properly. I expect Bama to win one of those close games that are closer in the score box but if you had watched the game you would have never felt like they were really going to lose. Much like the Penn St game in 2011.

24 - 13.
