It's crazy how Vacarro, Reid and Elam were all 1st rd safeties taken in 2013...and they all busted.

Imo, Reid is probably the best of the group, but he's looking for more than the 1 year, near-minimum deal he's been offered.

And Reid isn't worth it...

All the off-field issues he has would get many teams to shy away from bringing him in.

So wait.. aside from kneeling during the anthem, what other off field issues has Reid had.

Or does him kneeling during the anthem make him less of an American and thus unworthy?

What other off-field issues does he need? That made national news which is why he still has yet to find a home in the 2018 season. Nobody is gonna want him after that fiasco.

Ya'll boys aint mad at Kaep and Reid for making a political statement. You mad because they wanted to make a statement that makes you uncomfortable about the real state of this country. If you want politics and personal causes out of the game, you should be against the anthem being played at ANY sporting event, PLayers wearing pink cleats, or the self serving would all veterans and active service members stand and be recognized at sporting events. The NFL doesnt have a problem with making a statement.. as long as it helps the bottom line. And it in no way surprised me that people who do feel uncomfortable with the issue these players were trying to shed light on, twisted it to some sort of disrespect for the country and the flag.

@skinsdad62 See I took it where it belongs. :thumb:

, cool , now i will tell you why i dont like the protests . its done on my time during my escape . if i want politics during game time i can go to CNN .

now kaep pissed me off in 2 ways , first the socks with cops depicted as pigs . doesnt tell me he is looking for a solution . 2nd his embracing of Che guerra and fidel castro , 2 communist thugs who killed thousands of innocent people using the corrupt police he gripes about

what he says about american police does have merit in some cases but when you join up with the george soros funded BLM movement i just cant support you .

Solid response. So basically you feel the same way I do about people who say the Trump wall is about protecting Americans and not about excluding non whites.

we can bring in as many immigrants here legally as we can in my opinion , dont have an issue with it , i do have an issue with our govt giving these countries over 100 billion dollars and not have these poor souls recieve a dime of it . i take issue with columbians being able to send back thousands on venezualens for crossing their borders illegally but in turn want to tell our country we have to accept them . i am sick of white socialist canada griping about us letting illegals slide to their country but bash us for wanting what they want , legal immigration . the color of ones skin isnt an issue with me , my wife is mexican . my issue is my country is asked to do everything in this world from being a policeman to taking in every hard luck soul in on the planet while others sit by and watch telling me how ate up i am

and most of all i want my govt to help our own first before we worry about others . this crap is all about potential voters and i doubt anyone cares that these people will become virtual slaves on our road to george soros envisioned world socialist govt which i will never go for

Again, solid response.

But I doubt any one asked the US to be the worlds police, least wise not the nations we have decided to police. I agree we should be taking care of our own first. But that our own should not be designated by skin color. Yet too often it is.

I think Kaeps issue is with the fact that too often people of color in this country are told they should be thankful for being treated as second class citizens. Assumed guilty by virtue of being born not white. BUt you are right, it is all about potential voters.

if Kaep dumped the associations he has then i would be a willing listener to his beef as long as he stayed the hell out of my escape . this country is a work in progress . i believe it is farther ahead then every country on this planet hands down but that doesnt mean we dont have a few generations of work to do .

The biggest one is bringing a collusion suit against the NFL.

Police brutality against non whites has been a thing for most of our life times. People have been protesting it for just as long. Change is never easy, or comfortable. But until some one does something to bring the need for change to light, it will never really happen. Now we have a President who apparently wants to make America great again. And he has a following that thinks that means making America the 1950's again. So while i to would love for this to never have spilled over to the football field, some times some one does need to rain on the picnic for every one to realize we are actually being pissed on.

So.. you dont think its a group decision by all 32 teams to not sign Kaep or Reid??

Nope. I do not believe all 32 owners got on a conference call and said, let’s not sign these two guys.

Hell, Baltimore was going to bring Kap in until his girl opened her mouth.

It is likely all 32 owners realize these two players are hurting their bottom line. For Reid in particular, there could just be no market for overpaid safeties.
